Tampa Spring Break (the second); 2/17/2017-2/19/2017 (Various spots (homes, Mis en Place, Capital Grille)): Love, love, love that Russell brought this wine to the tasting and really don't think it got enough credit. Few put it in their top wines, but it was definitely in mine (did I mention I like my wines with some age?). This can go much further, but a lot of the sharper edges that exist in the young wines have come together here. Fruit is that lovely red candied form that grenache can do. With just a touch of black pepper. More integrated. To me this was great.

Sunsetting on this blockbuster Grenache from Russell Fromm. Still boasts a dark ruby color with flavors of rich plum sauce and wild berry held in check by fine grain tannins. Pulls up to a shorter finish.

Dark, dense black cherry. Still good fruit flavors but tannins are tamed. Somewhat acidic but CAUTION - 16.1% alcohol. 85% Grenache. Went well w corned beef.

Blackberries with chocolate. Blackberries with chocolate and...blackberries with chocolate. Endless glycerine and a massive body. Well hidden 16%. Great effort.

Still drinking nicely. A touch sweet on the finish, but a big, bold Grenache.
