A little too much salt & pepper overpowers the mild fruit - not in anyway thin, but not generous. Good balance between acidity, tannins and heat; limited length. Very light mouthfeel, bright acid up front and coarse tannins. Wonderfully warm aromas of tobacco and leather, but this isn't balanced by the fruits, which lack definition. A little acetic.
Overall enjoyable enough but needs food, a good companion to a stew or casserole. Not restricted, but very gentle. On taste alone - better off with a similarly priced Bordeaux.
12,0%. Biodynamic viticulture.

Pale ruby red. Classic Cabernet aromas of graphite and tobacco with a hint of tomato juice thrown in. Ripe and creamy with juicy blackcurrant. Enjoyable but maybe a touch too sweet on the finish for me.

Nice & well balanced, lean, medium bodied Bordeaux style savory palate of red fruit.

Margaret River quick stop tasting tour; 4/6/2010-4/7/2010 (Margaret River): simplistic cherry and burnt toast. Touches of nutmeg. more fruit on the nose than the mouth, quite light, not much to it. Oh dear.
