The color is a medium garnet with aromas red licorice. On the palate the wine is high acidity, med+/high tannins and complex-layers of tar, spices, earth. I would love to taste this wine in the future (once it has aged a bit).
Binny's Italian Night (Binny's South Loop - Chicago, IL): Nice mediu light ruby color. Old World styling with nice up front earth, hay and dark spicy raspberries. The mid-palate falls a bit short and I wish there were more layered flavors. I just get a Barolo I feel one could find in a bottle half the price. At about $100-120 I would pass.
