  • Last bottle from a few bought in Argentina and carried back circa 2003. In my cellar since, slow oxed for 20 minutes.

Deep garnet/purple color, mild separation. Nose showing dark fruits, earth notes. Palate of red currant, cherry, plum. Tannins resolved, medium weight and finish.

I found this a bit pruney, no real depth or secondary flavors. Last bottle (from memory) was going that direction. Based on this bottle, the wine peaked a while back...but not sure it was ever that good.

  • Herbs and blueberries in the bouquet with macerated blueberries skidding across the palate. Medium weight and exceptionally smooth. Smooth, sweet entry with a great mid-palate and average finish. Paired nicely with a grilled strip at Ray's.

  • Dark red with a Bordeaux-like nose that shows spicy cherry, a hint of vanilla, and grilled baguette'. Palate is medium bodied that shows a streak of brighter fruit. The finish presents a dark chocolate and coffee profile that lingers nicely. The acidity is a little out of balance. Tannins also punch out on occassion. May need more time to fully resolve. The acidity was under better control the next day. Four days after opening, the 4-5 oz that was left was surprisingly good. [92-93?]
