  • Wine has developed some extraordinary secondary nuances, such as spiciness, pepper and smokeiness. Very smooth and rich now. good acidity and all around balance. Glad i have some more.

  • Fab GV, Pichler one of the best in showcasing this variety. Nose very minerally and perfumy with apples and grapefruit, great energy and edge with penetrating flavors and tingling acidity, all balanced with full-throtled stone fruits and pink grapefruit.

  • The nose is delicate and complex, showing lemons and limes with a hint of citrus peel up front. Some young pineapple, rose petals, and a hint of red earth are in the background. The texture is soft from beginning to end, reminding me of heavy silk. I love it! Full ripe pears and minerality are accompanied by cigar tobacco. Crazy! This isn't just a hint either, I'm getting the full flavor with spice and darkness mixed in with the fruit. Some lemon zest shows on the finish along with some faint honey. Delicate apple looms over the whole experience. Wow. Awesome mouth feel, great flavors and complexity. The best GV I've ever tasted.

  • Exotic nose of pears, lemon salt, sage and crushed stone. Great minerality once again from this great QPR. As the wine warmed up in the glass flavors of peaches, lyche fruit developed in addition to the minerality becoming more intense. The finish is dominated by the wine's acidic backbone. Wasn't as impressive as my last bottle, but this is certainly a stellar bottle - worth exploring if you want to dive into some serious GV.
