Classic gewurztraminer characteristics of grapefruit, rose petals, and lychee nuts. Paired well with Thai food (basil duck, and squid with cashews in a spicy sauce).

Opened last night, I thought it was a little closed and/or flat, but good bones. Tonight had with broiled asparagus (and pizza) and it was excellent, very good pairing, slight sweetness, moderate spiciness, gingerbread, rose petal, a bit creamy, stood up to the asparagus. Drink up now.

Paired with some spicy Indian foods over 2 days. More dialed down on day 2. Bottle seems in a good phase, thinking just not my cup of tea.
Edit: Day 7 this is still on point, tamed even more so now and held up well to have a little try on Thanksgiving. Amazing wine, just not what my palate wants too much more of. That spice factor it has.
Edit: Forgot we once had a Trimbach Vendages Tardive, that was quite nice in small amounts w/ dessert. So def do like Gewurz grape when has a little sweetness.
