Italian Night (drink Antonio's wines) (Fort Collins, CO): Carob powder and dark chocolate on the nose. A little one-dimensional but still throwing whiffs of smoke, leather, plums, and a vegetal note. Soft, velvety, chocolate on the palate. I was not as enamored with this wine as I thought I would be. Probably suffered being next to the ethereal Brunello.

Southern Italy: Ah, fleshy and clean with red fruit, herbs, chocolate, tobacco. Youthful, balanced, medium bodied. Outstanding!

this Aglianaco based wine was starting to get a bit tired, but was well balanced and had some flavour interest.
