Beautiful stuff. Translucent rosy in color and light as a feather but with a refreshing acidic bite and evocative peppery/earthy flavors. Tastes a lot like a cabernet franc except it's more airy and graceful. At Le Comptoir.

Light red color. Musky black cherry fruit and a candied, floral note as well. Surprisingly rich entry with a dark chocolate quality, but then piquant acidity and a strongly soil-infused finish keep it properly light and lively. Quite flavorful without the least bit of sweetness.

I like the word "puffy" previously used although I think of it as a descriptor of jolly and giving things - Santa-like cheer. This is the first Loire Valley gamay I've especially enjoyed. Great green earth (def. underbrush) and fresh fruit. Delicious with a chill.

My second bottle of this and it was scarily easy to drain. The wine is so fresh and lively that there was no price to pay for that excess. All about ripe red fruit with zing--so balanced. If 'lean' can be used in a positive way to describe a wine that's the word I'd use. Damned if it isn't almost fun to have some of this in your glass.

Light, wide, puffy. Bright cherry with some light syrup and tar. Rubber. Tastes like gamay.
