  • A blend of 65% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 5% Rolle (aka Vermentino in Italy and other Southern France appellations) from the 35 acre vineyards of Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Daziano. Domaine de la Fouquette is located amid the Massif des Maures mountains, in the heart of the Côtes de Provence region. Fouquette’s Rosée d'Aurore is named after the Daziano's young daughter. A pale salmon pink color. Medium + intensity on the nose with notes of fresh strawberry, watermelon, and tangerine rind. Dry on the palate, with medium intensity, medium bodied, medium alcohol (13% abv), medium acidity and notes of citrus, orange and lime with some minerality and just a tiny bit of spritz. This is typical Provence rose, well balanced, and simplistic in appeal, meaning, pop open, pour and just relax on a warm summer day or a nice 70 degree day in February if you live in California! About $16 US retail, a tad expensive for the quality.

  • Light copper color. Loads of sulfur on the nose, it simply burns on every sniff -- I just can't get around it, though I'll see if oxygenating it helps. (aeration certainly helps take the sting out, but it's still not a very pleasant wine -- way better rosés out there)

  • A dry and tasty, salmon colored wine with an interesting nose that mixes some slight white pepper notes into some tropical fruits. Serve slightly below cellar temp and pair with a wide assortment of appetizers.

  • Pale salmon – excellent rose. Ripe fruit on the nose followed by crisp, balanced flavors. This is not under flavored like some roses. I like this a lot. (89)

  • Balanced and centered with a mature and complex taste. Well knit-together, although light-bodied tastes more like a well-aged red (without the big effects). Nose of flowers, rocks, leaves, mild citrus, and mild bubblegum. Tastes similar on the palate, plus hints of strawberry and ripe hard cheese. Medium to short finish. Dry to off-dry. Acid medium or less. Quite tasty and worth a try for the price.
