Intese nose with a hint of licorice and pine needles and somewhat sweet fruit. Not overly sweet and not typical Chamobolle Musigny. Very sexy and tastefull with no hard edges or astringent flavours. A difficult year with exccesive heat but still a wine in good balance and with lots of drinking pleasure.

Chassagne and Chambolle Lunch (The Ledbury): Full colour with some purple still. Fruity, slightly earthy nose. Ripe, spicy, this is a very decent effort - comeas across as an elegant new world pinot. Hints of caramel with a bit more air. ***

Medium-full colour. Broad spicy nose - even a touch of bacon fat. Not very Chambolle. Mouth entry quite lush, but soft and gentle, even unfocused. Quite spicy and tannic too. 'Soupy' but with a hard finish. Not convincing. 3-
