High optical density of ruby, with browning rim. Beautiful nose, with complex and intense aromas of blueberry, green pepper, truffle, chocolate, and hints of earthy aromatic asphalt. Perfectly balanced on the palate, with an elegant profile of dark berries, vegetables, earth, and leather, with a nice mid-palate and lengthy finish of unsmoked pipe tobacco. Full bodied and refreshing acid, with a concentrated profile that is without over-extraction. Old world profile all the way- excellent, and drinking at or near peak!

Dark purple with a dark red rim. Nose of chocolate and blue berries with underlying notes of earth and cardamom. Palate has bright flavours of blueberries, plum, and chocolate with well integrated spices and earth. Tannins nicely frame the wine, but are not overwhelming. Full body and good acidity- this is drinking very well and should last several more years!

(Pre-Road-Trip Brunner) Black garnet in glass. Similarly rich, dark concentrated blackberries, coffee bean, lingonberries, mossy herby light funk. Beautiful! Similarly juicy and savoury, clean transparent plums, gentle yet richly concentrated, structured gently with soft stems, smoke, tar and sweet fruit. Juicy finish, tight and silky tannins giving rise to clarity and impeccable balance. Very impressive!
