Glass: Zalto Universal Drunk over two days. Clear, medium golden-amber color. Clean, medium- intense, developing nose with some petrol, honey, few fruit, spices and some mineral notes. A bit dull. Legally dry, with some residual sugar (would guess around 6-7gr/l). Medium acidity. 13% abv, perfectly integrated. On the palate some slightly notes of maturity, botrytis, mineral notes, ripe yellow fruit, bitter orange. Elegant. Very soft, so you need to focus to reveal its beauty. Lacks a bit of complexity and excitement, but still a good wine with a medium, very fine and soft finish. No potential for further development so drink up within the next years. 89-90

Rich, unctuous and concentrated dry riesling, but - kudos to the 2008 acidity - by no means flabby. Great tension, slatey minerals and deep orange fruit notes (tangerine, peach and guave). A very delicate hint of savoury crustaceans really adds to the complexity! Beautiful wine.

Tropical fruits and honey in the bouquet. On the palate hardly any fruits, but a lot of minerals. A bit salty even. Good acidity. Long finish. A beautiful wine which is introverted at the moment. 89+

A private lunch (Restaurant Essigbrätlein **, Nuremberg, Germany.): Very spicy minerality on the nose, deep, hint of honey and herbs; the palate has a more fruity profile (peach), with slate and refreshing 2008-acidity, but also shows a lot of spice; good length.
