  • Dark garnet color. Fruit basket, polished, juicy, easy-going. Wish it had more lift and perfume. After an hour of drinking the alcohol came out, and took on a more simpler tone. Then the tannin really spiced things up better. Wish it had more 'oompf' Definitely showing its alcohol but not in a balanced sort of way. Not worth the price tag also.

  • Definitely has the Amarone profile, spicey and bright. Still feels young. However, it isn't very refined. Would be nice at $30.

  • Very jammy. Raisin overtones were a bit too much.

  • Clear, deep garnet. The nose is clean but very closed, with medium minus intensity. The palate is dry, with medium plus acidity, alcohol and tannins. Very light use of oak. The flavor intensity is medium and the length is medium, showing a very elegant and delicate wine-making style for an Amarone. The fruit on the palate is very good, but overall it is a little lean and tight. This is a very good wine, and is drinkeable now, but has potential for ageing. I was not overly impresse with the depth or compexity of this wine, which may be a factor of the vintage being generally weak. Overall, I did not find this to be a very good value.
