By the glass at Addison. Initially a muted nose, but with some time red fruit and light florals emerged. Surprisingly little tertiary, no leaves earth or game, and so felt a little simple.
The palate was much nicer, soft and fruit forward but with good density and a quite long persistence. The fruit did ultimately take a on an almost medicinal, syrupy tone at one stage, but eventually settled back in and even began to give some earth. The tannins felt present but unobtrusive and silky.
Ultimately I think this is an excellent wine in a weird phase and will emerge much more complex than it is now. It’s giving hints of that, and I know now to hold >15, maybe closer to 20 years before opening my bottles of later vintages.

Much swirling for this to show the perfectly ripe dark fruit nose and floral perfume. Medium body and packed with fruit. The fruit grew in quantity and quality with time in the glass. Memorable! Structure is proper and this 2009 will go for a very long time.

Opened tasted ..then vacuumed and drank the next day. Slight fruit nose, med/dk red in colour, good acidity and good length. Great dark fruit flavours with a beautiful sweetness and slight tannins on the back of the palate. Excellent Corton accessible now. Waiting a day just balanced the wine and gave it a more depth of flavours. This will age well.

Entering a good drinking window after a double decant. Great fruit, well balanced, nice nose that is still developing. Probably can improve but very nice now.

Nothing much more to say from my previous note, except this is now starting to develop some tasty game meat notes.
