Wow, this bottle showed really nicely, popular at the table. Right from the start, expressive nose of lemon, flowers, toasty oak. Excellent palate, marrying creaminess with freshness. 94+

K's Visit (SPD Paragon): Served side by side w wine 2. Medium yellow, good contrast to the wine 2. This has higher acidity than wine 2 but at the same time oily texture. I have not much clue on this and wouldn't guess this as a 2008.

Puligny-Montrachet les Pucelles - blind tasting 1998-2011: During a Burg dinner. Initially closed, then opened up in the glass with increasing temperature (another reminder not to serve white wines directly from the ice bucket) and some aeration (30 min). Deep mineralic aromas, lime, fresh, good finish.

Somewhat casual session (Kallang Way Extra Space): Tasted blind. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of honey, honeysuckle, baked golden apple, sweet citrus lemon, stony minerality. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of honey, honeysuckle, baked golden apple, citrus lemon, slight stony minerality, slight almond nuts. Medium+ finish. Good nose but somewhat lacking on the mid-palate with a sensation of hollowness. Good quality. May have been drinking better 2 years ago? Seems to be on the cusp of oxidation. Always the possibility of a prematurely aged bottle. Expected much more for a Pucelles.
