Drinks really, really easy! Great price point for this wine from Trader Joe's. It's red, it's fruity, and it's smooth. Not a complex wine, but a good one to pop and pour.

Decanted for ~1 hour, consumed over 30 minutes. Prominent wood notes on the nose which strangely didn't come through much on the palate. Decent cherry/berry fruit and a little bit of structure. This might improve...or not. Hard to say.

Nothing against TJs, but I wasn't expecting a whole lot from the purveyer that brings us Charles Shaw. Normally I would have passed this by, but the classy label reeled me in. Opened somewhat one-note, but after about 15 minutes the nose opened up with dark fruit, raisin and a little spice. The blend worked well with each grape bringing a little something to the mix, evolved over the evening. Really good wine and a really good price. Not a wine for aging, but a year or two might bring out some of the undertones. Will definately buy more.

Another fine bottle of TJ's BDX blend wines. These are a bargain. Buy them and put 3-5 years on them and they are just great.

Nice, but not as distinctive as the 2006.
