Translucent, with a brownish-red tint. Pretty nose, floral, more red fruits than black - very nice.
The black fruits (blackberry) come to the fore on the palate. Medium-bodied, sweet/ripe fruit - to be honest, I didn't know what to expect given the age of the wine, but this is damn good today.

Wineflock - 1er Red Burgundy 1988-1998 (Bob Gaynor's): Coudy crimson with substantial sediment in the glass. Tight red fruit nose with a bit of must. Subdued. Big bright acidic red fruit with some leaves and spice. A bit angular.

Nice Burgundian nose here - mature, Autumnal. Still some ripe fruit on the palate - I'm enjoying this.
