Brilliant Condrieu - opulent low acid wine with a touch of creamy oak but somehow held in balance through the fruit intensity.Warm floral aromas and mouth feel contribute to a harmonious experience.

John Commerford's 67th birthday dinner (Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand): Gorgeous rich and clean as a whistle Condrieu. Low acid, high alcohol but opulent and exotic - round vanillin scents . Long with a clear mineral not ewhich added structure and definition. Modern style but a wonderful wine that matched fairly well with a David Chang recipe of cured kingfish with edamame and fresh horseradish puree.

Tasted non blind at a wine dinner. PnP. Beautiful nose of honey and white flowers. Similar on the palate with the addition of a few different spices. Very long and consistent with some minerality. I would loved to have tasted this the next day to see how it evolved.

This was really fine. Tropical fruit, marzipan, lush subtle oak, gorgeous texture which is opulent but retains a sense of nerve. This is a long and complete wine that has complexity and great appeal. Ready now - 2014. 91-92
