A nice Merlot with cherries and blackberry and good light oak. Nose had some earthiness to it initially that went away to release the berries. Several layers of flavor as it was in the mouth with good balance and finish was nice and long showcasing a light oak flavor along with the smooth tannin.

This wine was popped and poured, retrieved from my Mom's wine rack and, quite frankly, written off. Much to my surprise, it is a deep garnet wine with a beautiful nose of Bing cherries, assorted spices and cocoa. Medium-bodied on the palate, with mediium acidity, melted tannins and tart cherry-dominated flavors. The middle is full and the long finish is smooth. Very nice...given my lowered expectations, this is well beyond anything that I was thinking about. Drink now-12/16.

Candy coated yams (or something yammy anyway) and wood, deep dark color. Quite good but a bit pricey for an entry level Merlot at the marked 24 dollars

80 without the vinturi (or decanting) -- 87 with. opens up quite nicely.

Nothing special. Maybe not quite enough for the price.
