Decanted with care. Sediment as expected. Clear, bright tawny copper color. Nose of red cherry, dried cranberry, and orange peel. Lush mouthfeel with hints of cherry, red raspberry, dried fig, baking spice, and vanilla. Drinking well and a remarkable QPR.

Nose is oxidized with hints of dried cherries and cranberry. Palate exceeds expectations set by the nose; sweet but nutty with nice ripe raspberry acidity to balance it out. Has a bit of a musty aftertaste but is still very drinkable; paired well with an almond frangipane but also drinks very nicely as dessert by itself.

[From a 375 ml] Clear, bright tawny bordering on rose in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of sweet red cherries, cranberries, dried figs/raisins & orange rind with overtones of floral notes of roses, earthy, caramel/burnt sugar, spices, some herbs, coffee, cocoa, anise, minerals, almonds & vanilla. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & silky smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, dried figs & plums with spices, caramel, roasted almonds, minerals & vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & don't see it developing any further. A lovely Colheita with a great QPR.

Very nice and enjoyable with lots of depth and complexity while still maintaining the freshness. A real treat to drink and an amazing value which really shows what Colheita is all about. 92-93p. Bottled in 2015.

2 hour decant. Pale brown with just a hint of pink. Dark, heavy, brooding nose reminding me of old madeira and moscatel - some prune, some raisins. Smooth and rich and full in the mouth - but no distinctive flavour I could put a name to - just a nice blend of earthy tones matching the colour. A little heat in the medium length finish. Not my preferred style of port, but plenty acceptable.
