  • P/chilled. Crystal clear, very bright yellow color. Classic French WB nose of wet stone, shale. A wonderful wine, perfectly balanced and elegant, w/superb integration. True to Burgundy, drank clean, muted fruit up front changing to juicy at finish, minerals, slate, slight oak and vanilla, usual traits. Picked up at winery years ago, wish I had more. Delicious, ideal example of how it should be, nothing off, $91. (93-94)

  • (Côtes de Nuits w Sue) Nose shows clean florals, soft honey, wet limestone, hint of tropical fruits. Good acid/sweetness balance, with impressive limestone minerality. Sweetness quickly clears with a linear steeliness. Textural. Beautiful acid structure, hardly excessive. Some light chalk and citrus on the finish, with green apple cider. Would be perfect with seafood, particularly seared scallops!
