Tampa Spring Break III; 2/16/2018-2/18/2018 (Tampa FL): #7/17 wines tasted double blind. Barnyard funk on the nose. The palate seems like classic napa cab. Palate has dark and red fruits, smooth tannins and leans a little bit to sweet side.

Initially tannic but an hour decant pretty well shakes off the tannins. Fairly secondary with leathery red fruit, tobacco, milk chocolate, and sage. Has several more years to go but might not improve with time.

this is good wine ... the blend definitely comes thru and the syrah add is telling. went very well w/ the mild lamb dish. This has legs for another 10 years in the cellar and i have more :)

The color is absolutely beautiful crimson. The nose is also outstanding. A little oaky, but with nice tannin. A really great early effort from this winery.
