Very tasty barolo. Showing age with some leather notes overlying floral qualities. The tannins are a bit drying, I think this is about as good as this is going to get. Very pleasurable.

2 Stunden dekantiert - gutes Timing. Hellrotbraun. Ziegelfarben. Sehr schöne Nase nach Weichselfrucht und Rosenblättern, etwas Marzipan und Unterholz. Am Gaumen seidig, fein, elegant, weniger breitschultrig als Vecchie Vigne Barbaresco von Paitin, aber auf Augenhöhe was Eleganz und Balance betrifft. Ein toller Barolo in bester Reife!

Burgundy colored core, sun setting to tawny on the edge. Upon opening this gave off road tar, but it blew off to show a pleasant pine and mint aroma. Modern entry. This offered some strawberry, which quickly dimmed to reveal more secondary flavors of potpourri, leather and a super savory beef stock finish. Still moderately tannic. Dry. 92
