Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; Bordeaux, St. Julien: Complex and smoky bouquet with bell pepper and herbs. On the palate toast, a firm amount of acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Not extremely concentrated, but elegant and in a nice drinking stage. Nice wine.

En magnum. Clean lines, bright colour, beautiful nose of red berries. Acid still keeps this fairly crisp, but age is giving some breadth. Too early to drink from magnum, but nevertheless pleasing and tasty. Grew on me more as the evening went on.

Magnum. Nice old school and true St Julien with herbal notes and wild black fruit and minerality. Touch of oak but after 30 min in decanter all elegantly coherent and resolved with minimal tannins. Well suited to cote de boeuf and marrow. Think this is drinking perfectly now. My kind of Bordeaux.

Spectacular bottle. Tons of bay leaf and eucalyptus on the nose and with time red cherry and musky currant aromas. The palate is so elegant with lively acidity. The fruit aromas follow through on the palate but are overshadowed by a greater presence of smoke, menthol and herbal flavors.
