Honeysuckle and thyme on the nose. The wine presented a little spicy on the palate... the alcohol a little imbalanced. The ensemble coming across a little hot and hollow to my tastes. Still there were some redeeming green anpple and anisette notes to bring it weight. Med finish.

Despite being 60% barrel aged and fermented, there is a lack of ostentatious oak influence. Instead the nose shows fresh apple notes with minerality leading to lemon acidity on the finish.

Intense lemon custard, baked apple, lanolin with deft use of oak & a crisp finish.
