Beautiful merlot, matured but with plenty of fruit left. BTW, I find CT drinking window is useless, especially for this bottle. Holding strong without fading for 2 hours.

Friends at new year's eve dinner liked it with deep dish mushroom pie - my last bottle. Gone pretty dry, piney, woodsy nose, very drinkable but faded. Partnered with some 2001 Reserve Merlot - that still has some time left.

Earth, smoke and leather notes on the nose. Medium bodied and very soft, but noticeably past peak. Lite cherry is the only remaining mid-palette fruit note with chocolate, leather and earth coming in at the end. No noticeable tannins on the finish, but there’s still decent structure and length there. The wine is fading, but still very much drinkable and enjoyable today.

Cherries; coffee; dark fruit; chocolate; mint; cola; excellent balance, body, and complexity with a long cream-topped finish. Outstanding and beats expectations as it nears its 10th anniversary.

Great nose of red and black fruit and chocolate. Complex, balanced, long finish. Terrific bottle of wine with plenty of time left in it.
