{AP 33 05, 375ml, cork, 7.5%} Mid gold. Aged nose of nougat and vanilla. Brown apples. Slightly stale riesling character, almost medium-sweet but never luscious, lowish in acidity, with a medium length finish, pleasant and enticing but never really captivating. I’d agree with the spice, earthy character that the back label promises, but it never really wows you. On this showing, drink as soon as possible.

{375ml, cork, 7.5%, AP 33 05} Mid yellow. Pleasant, developing aromas of browning sweet apple, custard. Only a smidgin beyond off-dry, altough the acid isn't immediately obvious there's a little frisson of prickliness which lifts the palate presence. That said, although the flavours are quite delicious they're also a bit simple, and - more concerningly - rather short-finishing on the palate. Nicely enjoyable example of aging auslese, but a bit run-of-the-mill vs the state-of-the-art. Drink up.

Estremamente giovane, dolce e grassissimo in bocca. Ancora tutto da farsi, ma si beve piacevolmente
