The most age I've had on a Bianchetta Genovese. In its youth, this wine is lean, with razor-sharp acidity and minerality that often obscures its fruit. With six years of age, however, it's mellowed and taken on a rounder profile. Mango and orange Creamsicle offer nice elements of sweetness, complementing a briny, chalky minerality that reminds you of its origins. A nice tinge of acid on the finish. Drink over the next two years. Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.

waxy with light citrus notes (lemon rind mostly) in a medium weight wine. Probably was best 3 years ago. A bit astringent on the finish. Tiny amount of fruit left and a wine that I would definitely not sit on. Drink up if you have any left.

Wax, wool and lemon. Focused steely citrus, fleshy, extract, mineral, juicy with sour acidity. Fleshy, grippy finish. Refreshingly sour with big broad flavor.

Eh. Too ripe, lacking the crisp structure of earlier vintages.

Interesting, but I didn't love it. Seems a little murky, un-structured.
