  • Tasted an hour after opening, didn't decant. Capsule and cork in great nick. Medium garnet in the glass with pale ruby edging, indicative of age. Lovely black fruits, liquorice, and spicy peppers on the nose. The taste shows a very integrated dark fruit profile, with menthol dominating the mid-palate. Lower acidity levels but with round, soft tannins. Medium-length finish with some tar and liquorice. Interesting to drink this 30-year-old wine alongside more recent vintages, showcasing the relative freshness and age-worthiness of Grosset Gaia.
