(Post tasting post dinner drinks at JM's) Cola nut, bluefruits, dark floral perfume. Smoke and sour cherry, rose. Pinot-esque structure. Savoury dark earth, finishing with incense and patchouli showing, with sandalwood shavings. Elegant and intriguing! What a remarkable example of cool Victorian shiraz!

Still looking pretty good. Fruit feels very primary, almost sweet, but faint savoury and spice hints remain. A little pruny ahla ripe grenache but this could be passed off as slightly dead fruit.

A drought year wine and the 15% suggests the vines have been slightly stressed. But, in this context, a very good result. Mediumed bodied but touches of spice and sinewy acid. Very classy and savoury (as I guess you'd expect fromthese guys) but there's a hint of cooked mazipan fruit coming through, particularly as the wine warmed up. Really very good but I do have question marks for the long haul

dark leafy berries, taut tannins, silky. beautifully balanced, some sweetness, juicy and clean. Drinking superbly right now - thanks Mich!
