Slo-oxed this for two hours and that was not nearly enough time. Initially very tight and unyielding, but opened gradually over the course of the evening. By the end, it was drinking beautifully - almost reminiscent of a Sassicaia. Displays phenomenal depth and intensity, without a lot of weight or alcohol. Offers plenty of delicious, mouth-watering plum, blackberry and dark currant fruit, matched perfectly to a moderate acidity. Finishes long and smooth, with fine-grained tannins that linger gently on the palate. So polished and delicious. Drinks like a Guado al Tasso, which is three times its price. Another under-the-radar gem from the wonderful 2006 Tuscan vintage. 50+5+13+18+8=94

Pretty tasty wine but needed more acidity to offset the dark stewed fruit.

This wine needs to be decanted. Rosehips, low acidity. Nice elegant wine. Drinking well now but definitly on its peak.

Decanted. Great nose of kirsch sweetness. Blueberries, blackberries, some leather notes. Great Bolgheri. Sassicaia style.
