There were few outstanding wines presented -- differentiating to this level is always difficult at big walkaround tastings, but there are usually a few that stand out.
really nice. med(+) oaky palate shows sweet spice, sweet black fruit, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. delicious. medium(+) finish.

pleasant red fruit profile. moderate fruit and well balanced acid. tannins are well integrated. medium length finish begins with a crescendo before fading. liked this.

very traditionally styled. a little graphite, nice black fruit. well integrated oak. med tannin. everything in the right place. really enjoyed. med(+) finish.

i think st. julien did quite well in '08. this is really nice, with a mix of fruit and menthol. hint of clove cigarette. medium tannin, medium(+) acid, medium(+) finish is a touch nicer than the brainare ducru.

delicious. med(+) acid. nice peach and orchard fruits. finish is disappointing only in that it is medium -- it was so delicious i wanted much more from it.

loved this. sweet oak on initial attack. developed red berry fruit notes and a little bit of cedar. med(+) acid shows potential fro aging. med(+) finish is quite complex and pleasant.
