4/14/2024 - JohnLI wrote: 88 pointsI didn’t like this as much as the 2021 which I very much enjoyed. Not as fruit driven and is a bit austere and tannic. However I have a few more so will try again. Maybe I wasn’t in the right mood. |

3/16/2024 - JohnLI Likes this wine: 90 pointsBit of a novelty. Basically a chocolate infused Tempranillo. It’s like a chocolate with liqueur inside. Couldn’t drink much of it but very enjoyable. |

3/16/2024 - JohnLI wrote: 89 pointsPaired with lamb shank. I’m not sure about this wine. It has a lovely nose of black fruits and plums. On the palate the fruit is there and the tannins reasonably integrated. However the alcohol is very obtrusive and difficult to get beyond which I think spoils the wine. I wonder whether a few years the cellar may help. I like aging Ozzy wines and may buy a few and be patient. |

2/10/2024 - JohnLI Likes this wine: 90 pointsOpened with slight trepidation after reading other reviews. However, 4 of us liked it. Notes of black cherries, plums and black forrest gateau. Integrated softening tannins. In it’s drinking window but I doubt there is any upside. |

1/11/2024 - JohnLI Likes this wine: 92 pointsIncredible pale yellow colour for 23 year old wine. Obvious kerosene on the nose. Plenty of citrus fruit and acidity still in balance. A joy for such a graceful aged wine. I think there’s time left too. |

12/25/2023 - JohnLI Likes this wine: 94 pointsPaired with roast beef lots of veg and roast potatoes for lunch. Cork came out intact. Notes of black fruit, pencil and earthy forest floor integrated tannins in the background. It was in beautiful balance and a lovely enjoyable wine. My last bottle, but as when I tried the remains later in the evening, it was fading and not so enjoyable, I wonder how much longer it’s drinking window is. |

11/17/2023 - JohnLI Likes this wine: 93 pointsMy last bottle sadly. Very enjoyable. Strawberry herbs and spices with nicely balanced tannins and acidity. Such a lovely wine. However I don’t think it justifies the rediculous price you need to pay for the experience now. |

11/17/2023 - JohnLI Likes this wine: 96 pointsCompletely different experience to last year. Colour the same but intense violets blackberry and cherry. The palate went on and on. So, the same flavours but just loads more of it. This bottle was a great wine. So what’s the difference? Bottle variation and or mood, company, food etc? I don’t know. Anyway, I’m glad I have a few left. 4 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (3) |
