There is a surprising amount of tannic structure (for Gamay) and a nice finish. Lovely wine that has great aromatics and good complexity. The flavors on the palate are maybe a tad unripe, but it didn't bother me much. Does it deserve to be one of the most expensive Gamays on the planet? No. Is it a really nice Gamay? Yes! |

The red fruits were less pronounced than a few years ago, and I think this is now in a period where it needs another few years at least to hit its stride. It was delicious young (3 years old) but I’m going to wait another 3 years before touching the next one. |

Very different from the first 5 aligote’s. Pale yellow in color with medium(+?) intensity with aroma’s of bruised (but fresh) yellow apples, lemon cake, not as much herbs as the others. Medium+ acidity with a long finish. Beautiful mouthfeel. Could also be mistaken for older champagne. 91-92 |

It was clean, minerally, and after a day, creamy. What was so special here was adaptability. The wine is quite the chameleon, presenting very different personalities with different foods, none of them, offputting, and each of them showing character. |
