5/17/2024 - Chris Keller wrote: 93 pointsVanilla, black licorice, plum, leather, blackberry, Luxardo cherry, baking spice, oak in this wine that should be consumed immediately if in your cellar. Still good but was better in previous years . Bitter tannin without the strength of its youth |

5/14/2024 - Condrieu82 Likes this wine: 94 pointsRuby color, pleasant Merlot nose with bramble, blueberries, and classic oaky notes. Great acidity, dense, beautiful fruit with bramble, plums, blueberries, mint also some forest floor notes and white pepper. Still young and quite primary, the tannins are nonetheless not too strong and balance the acidity nicely, while the long is medium long with barrel spice and vanilla. |

4/27/2024 - AllRed wrote: 93 points4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&D's): Blind. Dark youthful color with notes of chocolate and plummy black fruit. Full-bodied. Flavors of black fruit, plum and chocolate with a dusty, Rutherford-like quality. Finishes with good length. Rich and chocolatey. Good in this style. This had been double decanted 6.5 hrs before service. |

3/19/2024 - dkwins Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis is still a very good wine, but past its peak. It needed a two hour decant and the second glass was better. A little more subdued now, but exhibits the smooth, jammy Lewis style I enjoy most. A little alcohol burn on an otherwise long finish. |

3/17/2024 - IvanKrazy Likes this wine: 93 pointsImma start by saying that I am a self-proclaimed Lewis fan-boy, at least pre-sell. That said, this 2010 is drinking so beautifully! Still lots of black fruit present with touch of tobacco and delicious chewiness. Still life ahead of this vintage. |

3/16/2024 - Decanting Queen Likes this wine: NRDark fruit, lots of sediment. Cork fully intact (unusual for these older Lewis Syrah). If you like older Syrah this is not past it, if anything still drinking young. Mostly big plummy fruit and black pepper, some savory gamey notes. Not as complex as I would have expected although have not had this exact vintage before (have had much older and younger) so just not that exciting for me. I didn’t rate because under the circumstances we were not paying close attention to the wine so it could just be me!!! |
