This bottle needs ample air before consuming. Drink true cellar temperature.

Ox-blood in color.
Pencil lead, iodine, leather, and faded fruit notes. Some cigar box.
Still a little crunchy. Remnants of red and dark berries. Long finish. Tannins are still lingering. Wow, everything has integrated so well. I absolutely love this wine. Drink now or hold up to four years.

Black plums, flowers, cherries, and fennel fill the nose. On the palate, the wine is luscious, elegant, polished, fresh, sweet, and lifted, with lingering cherries, and plums on the backend in the salted-chocolatey, finish. Drink from 2028-2050. 94-96 Pts.

Too early to drink. Taste on day one was closed and rough. Not good. Even after an hour it was a little bit better. On day 2 this was a different wine. Very balanced. Soft with short aftertaste. Very good for the price range of 25€.

Nez expressif et plein de finesse. Fruits rouges, floral, un peu sucré. En bouche beaucoup d ampleur, avec des tanins bien fondus. Un peu de chaleur en final. Très belle longueur. Très beau vin

This opens with a somewhat muted nose, but still a bit fragrant with prunes and raisins. Nice balance, dark berry fruit with cardamon and earth. Layers of concentrtion. A lovely drink. Seems ready to go.

Re-tasted 3 days ago with my friend Ramonée Confit (sample), an exceptional wine at the level of the 1st growths classified A. Beautiful deep color. Intense, original nose, with floral and root notes. The body is in unison, hemmed by a precise, velvety tannic framework. The texture is consistent, focused on freshness and always with this never-ending length.
For me and for the first time, better than the great Figeac 2022

Should've opened this a year ago, passed its prime. Virtually no fruit left but some faint tannins remain.

When I switched to a Pinot glass this became more interesting and should actually pair reasonably well with tonight's mussels two ways, traditional white wine and a tomato-based provincale.

Dark reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, cassis & plums with earthy/dusty & herbal overtones, some floral notes, spices, minerals, & cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & pomegranate with herbs, minerals, spices & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Quite accessible at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. Very good QPR as it delivers quite well at its price point.

Tasted blind. Estuary. Black fruit. Bitter black tea tannin. Iodine. Violets. Dark cherries soaked in milk chocolate. Really opens with time in decanter. Feels young and backward. Excellent wine. Improved with time in glass. Needs another 5 years to revisit.

One hour double decant, followed by a two hour slow ox. Deep dark magenta color. Cassis, raspberry, vanilla pudding, and limestone. Smooth, dry, spicy palate. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.

Brought this to a dinner party with longtime wine friends. My notes don’t do the complexity justice. Not my favorite, but solid for the vintage.

From a crappy little wine glass, hard to get any aroma.
👅 light weight, concentrated black plum and maybe black cherries, some baking spices, touch of licorice, smooth, cherry pit, kind of a short or at best medium finish. There is also a vegetal or leafy character.

Overall, I like this wine and by some accounts it is just entering it's window. I think it was mostly the same with a couple of hours in bottle (not decanted), but better. Is it amazeballs? Not now, and I'm not sure if it will hit the highs of the reviews.

Would buy a current vintage at regular price and wait for maturity out of curiosity.

24h later, everything melts together and becomes one super smooth wine.

Short decant. Black and blue fruits, earth, tobacco notes. Medium bodied with good balance. Smooth and slightly austere mid-palate. Powdery tannins and a medium length finish. Will likely improve with some age but this is very approachable now.
