(42% Cabernet Franc, 58% Merlot, 14.5% Alkohol) Kräftiges Rubinrot. Dunkelfruchtige Nase, viel Pflaume, kompottige Noten, Kirschen, Weihnachtsgewürze, Süssholz, laktische Töne. Im Gaumen dicht und konzentriert, ein Mund voll Wein, bleibt jedoch elegant, eine gute Säure kontert die satte Frucht, trägt den Wein in ein langes Finale, wo rotfruchtige Aromen nachhallten. Der Wein braucht noch etwas Zeit, ab 2025 bis 2040 vermutlich im besten Trinkfenster.

A profound nose. Complex and deep. There are toasted spices, sweet black fruits, earth and minerals on the full-bodied palate. Fresh and energetic from entry to a lingering finish. Tannins are still somewhat forward for now. Need at least 5 more years in the bottle to show its best. 93-94 pts.

Quite opulent slightly warmer fruits. Darker cherry, blackcurrant, some blueberry. A bit creamier and riper than the 2016 tasted alongside.

The nose is on the exotic side, hammering you with notes of toasted coconut and vanilla, blueberries, cassis, raspberry confit and graphite. Ripe and extracted fruit on the palate, velvety, but also a little rustic and warming, with some tannic grip and a salty finish. Enjoyable, but very modern in style and not quite knitting together, which is surprising given the accessibility of some of its peers at this stage. I do think this will come together, but will remain “of a style”. 93-94 potential.
