4/20/2024 - fdub Likes this wine: 94 pointsDeep purple color impressive extraction. Deep perfumed nose with a touch of coffee and floral aromas. Changes in the glass with coaxing. Very vinous and turns savory but shows the sweetness of Pinot. Well balanced in the mouth with mouthwatering acid and freshness. Long very tinged finish with nice structure. Will hold my other bottle for 5 more years. |

4/15/2024 - Xavier94 Likes this wine: 92 pointsStill retains a clean, pure dark fruit base with licorice, clove, smoke, dried cinnamon stick and gives way to a bit of beet root and faint damp woodland scents. Mineral palate with appropriate acidity and resolving tannins- This may be one of the '05s that ages well and on it's balance as the fruit and structure are integrating nicely today. 92+. I would not check in again for another 5 years +. Elegant with solid fruit. |

3/28/2024 - Nutty08 wrote: 89 pointsLighter styled, with an ethereal smooth attack with fine tannins only noted on the finish. Had a cherry core, with a lifted strawberry note and a hint of pepper, but a nice forest floor character rounds this out. Just doesn't have the intensity or depth of a next level wine. |

3/18/2024 - andrewfowler Likes this wine: 96 pointsDelicate. Almost suspiciously so, with light cherry, violet, cinnamon, and bubblegum. But then on the palate... BAM! Cherry, black tea, cranberry, raisin, and prune, undergirded by tertiary aromas of leather, truffle, and thyme, with tannins that wrap around you soft like a rabbit fur coat. I never understood why the French wrote about wine in such flowery, adjectival terms rather than using concrete descriptors, but this is a wine that demands them. Like Andre Breton once said about Frida Kahlo... a bomb with a ribbon wrapped around it.] |

3/17/2024 - Cailles wrote: 93 pointsNo notes taken. Expressive from start to finish, a beautiful dark red fruit core, stems and earthy notes, fine tannin structure, good freshness and despite its youth beautifully balanced and without any loose ends. This shows that the 2021 vintage will offer a lot of early drinking pleasure. |

3/9/2024 - geraldsng wrote: NRWas given this bottle of Sigaut to make up for the previously-cooked batch I posted about last year. Thankfully this was a pristine bottle. Floral and red with high-toned but not shrill acidity. It’s more rustic and earthy on the palate rather than lifted and elegant (a la Chambolle), but still a good depth of Pinote and a pleasant surprise. 2008 seems to be doing well now. |

3/3/2024 - kampa Likes this wine: 90 pointsMedium ruby colour. Denser style of Pinot Noir due to warm vintage 2015. Black berries, strawberries, medium- tannins and light acidity. Light touch of smoky oak barrique. Nice, smooth, balanced burgundy wine. A confirmation of feminine style of Chambolle-Musigny. |

2/23/2024 - Nutty08 Likes this wine: 92 pointsStill showing some reduction on the nose. Darker fruit with a black cherry core. Rather ripe and plush upon entry—but narrow and firms up with air. Finishes lengthy and a bit spicy adding depth with air. Needs some more time. From 375ml. |

2/9/2024 - Nanda wrote: 90 pointsDecanted for ~45 minutes, returned to bottle and enjoyed a couple of hours later. Fairly young Chambolle that was approachable enough but still fairly primary in flavor profile with lots of red berries and some spice. The palate seemed classically Chambolle with good silkiness yet some firm structure that still needs time to soften/integrate. I like this and think it has upside from here. |

2/10/2024 - Vinsaint Likes this wine: 92 pointsLikely approaching the end of irs window, but a complex nose (cherry, orange blossom, lime). Light and still refreshing, but not as bright as a younger burgundy. If you can find it, buy and drink quickly. |

2/10/2024 - roboto Likes this wine: 92 pointsAired, decanted for 90minutes. At cellar temp, Dense red deep layered fruit. Not lightfooted but still very elegant, and mouthfeel is textured and intense in a very pronounced way. This is something I'm picking up as a consistent style from Sigaut having tried more of their wines over the years. They are brooding, but still manages to come out on the expressive, fresh side of that spectrum. Dark cherries, hints of tobacco, some minerality at the core keeps it just in the middle of savory / sweet balance. This is still too young but couldn't not stay away. I think 2-5 more years on this one will grant an even more balanced expression and a 94-95 easily. Having said that, there is still some light grip in the tannins making this an excellent foodpairing to creamy sauce au poivre. Hats off. This producer keeps me coming back. Solid. |

2/4/2024 - coremill wrote: 89 pointsPretty burgundian nose of tart black fruit, earth, and hint of oak. Airy, elegant palate, gentle tannin, lots of acid, again a noticeable hint of oak. This is not a showstopper and it won't make old bones, but it's pretty and it's nice to go back to some gentler, less ripe vintages after the 15/17/18/19/20 run. I might prefer a tad less oak though. |

1/13/2024 - Nutty08 Likes this wine: 92 pointsOpen knit expressive style, with a neat and spice driven fruit profile. Palate is quite soft and lush, with tannins only coming through on the back end. Lengthy finish though only moderate complexity. Hard not to crush now but I expect some upside in the future. |
