There are red fruits, interesting aromas of spices and a good touch of acid. But there is also a little heat. Probably because of the lighter texture. Absolutely ok but no great CdP like some of it´s peers. |

Not sure about the exact grape varities cause the informations in the internet are not consistent. Sometines it is only Cab. Sauvignon and Cab. Franc and sometimes there is also Merlot and Petit Verdot. But anyway. Really good wine. The QPR is not great but absolutely ok in my opinion. |

The vineyard is located in a warm part of the Castello di Fonterutoli. It is relatively full bodied for a 100% Sangiovese an in-between a Chianti and Brunello. Not really complex but fruit forward an drinking extremely well. Everyone liked it very much. |

The "Deux Freres" developed really great about the duration of 7 days which shows a good aging potential. Drank from a Riedel Veritas New World Pinot Noir-glass which was a really good choice. A really great wine which is medium to full bodied and really dark in the glass. There are wonderful aromas of red and dark fruits, garrigue and (which is a little surprising) some influence which is similar to barrique/oak. I don´t know where they come from but there are there. Really a very good wine from a gread producer. The QPR is really ok in my opinion. |

Really powerful with dark fruits like Cassis or Blackberry and really fruit forward. The tannins are smooth and a little bit of wood. Really great for a 2nd wine and one of the best QPR in Bordeaux. |

The Marquis Alesme is elegant, sensous, medium to full bodied with aromas of red fruits and delicious herbal notes and flowers. It is really extraordinary complex for a Margaux at this price and I ordered some more for cellaring. For me a really great wine and I am curious how it improves over the next years. |

A different style then Pavie Macquin and Larcis Ducasse and at the moment a little bit more on the "rough" side with aromas of dark/red fruits, tobacco and earth/wood. The tannins are a little rough at the moment but the wine is really good and will benefit from cellaring. Probably it is not so well suited for drinking young like the other two mentioned above. But also really good QPR. |

Medium to full bodied but elegant with aromas of red fruits, cherries, a little wood/leather and some herbal/flower notes. The wine is really smooth and lush but also a little bit salty (know no better word). It was really good with PnP but even better after 3-4 hours airated and it developed very good over the next 3 days. Really one of the best QPR in Saint Emilion in my opinion and really glad to have some bottles in my cellar. |

It is way too young but I also wanted to check this wine and think about buying a little bit more of the VdS 2018. The tasting note from Nostrabacchus is almost perfect and so I don´t need more words. A really gread Chianti G. S. and a benchmark for wines from this region. |

It is impossible to descripe the taste in words but I think Jeff did a really great job in doing so. I can only add that it is for me impossible to understand how a wine can be so opulent and silky but nonetheless also elegant and complex. My score is 98 but I am excited how this beauty shines in approximately 8 years. Enjoy. |

It is dark red with purple reflections and is showing great in the nose and in the mouth with red berries, dark plum and hints of herbs and spices. It is powerful, fruit driven but elegant in one way and hard to descripe. It is not as opulent as the 2015/2016 vintages of this wine and a little more refined with a little more freshness and less fruit. The finish is driven by berries, plum and currant. The tannins are silky, fine and really beautiful. With the decant it is really great at this young age but it will get a real beauty after some more years in a cool and dark cellar. The colour is showing signs of mature cause it is light red and is medium bodied and elegant. On the palate it is showing red fruits, spices and some signs of oak. Very elegant and complex but a little short. Can be cellared some more years but I think it is not necessary to do so. Really nice experience and a good companion for Italian food. |

As expected it has a really different profile like other Grenache-dominated CdP. It was grittier and the oak was more prominent. I think it will need some more years and is not so open for early business. After three days the wine was much more elegant and softened. But really nice for an early tasting experience. Will try the next bottle in 4-5 years. |

There are much dark fruits (plum, blackberry), chocolate and tobacco or cigar aromas. The fruit is not too prominent and it is really smooth not showing any heat or over-extraction. A really nice Amarone d. V. and suits drinking alone or with an Italian Ragu. |

At the beginning it was a little rough but opened up shortly after and developed really nice over the following two days. It softened and got much more complexity but was also very good shortly after opening and a really nice companion to a good Ragu alla Bolognese. Will buy some more to cellar and will look for the 2019. |

It was really delicious with pop and pour but gets better with air about the duration of 3 days. The black fruit and tannins are smooth like silk and there are truffles, caramel, chocolate and herbs. The wine is intriguing and balanced at this young age but i am sure it will benefit from some time in the bottle. |

I think it is better to wait for another 5+ years minimum. The wine is medium bodied and there are black and red fruits, some tobacco and smoke and also some herbs. But the aromas are not together in harmony at this stage. But i hope for more in the future. |

After 2 hours in a decanter the C. du Papet is showing it is in almost perfect harmony and balance. It is powerful but elegant too with rasberry, garrigue, some flowers and aromas of pepper and other spices. The wine also developed very good over 2 days and i think it will be better in a few years. |

There are red fruits (strawberry) dominating with a good amount of acid. There is also a good touch of salt on the palate. The Chaupin was even better on day 3 and day 4 which is a good sign that it will benefit from some cellaring time. Really good C9dP and completely different then the Janasse Vieille Vignes which is much more powerful and also driven by other varities (Mourvedre, Syrah). |
