While this wine is very simple, I must say that it surpassed my expectations. Great QPR for someone that wants nice fruit but doesn't mind the lack of complexity. A great weeknight drinking wine to go with dinner or the perfect bottle to pull out when introducing someone to wine for the first time. I did a P&P and continued drinking over about ~2 hours— same wine, never changed. (Understandably not, as it has very little to unpack or open up to.)

A really nice nose, good vibrant fruit, but just a little too simple to give it a 90.

Very, very young - but this will grow up to be a beauty. Alreaydy lovely today with red fruit galore, white peber, garrigue, juicy and easy drinking.

Pale gold in the glass. Pillowy mousse, developing, intense aromas of bruised apples, green apple, quince, bosc pear, brioche, unripe peach, butter, sea spray, toasted almonds, cream, hazelnut. In the mouth, the wine is dry, med + body, high acid, med alcohol, intense on the palate with a long finish. Overall, very good, can drink now, but will hold.

Oak an vanilla on the nose and palate, creamy mid to heavy mouthfeel, medium finish and all around great chardonnay at this price point.

Great Sancerre! Quite fruity (despite the average vintage year), med+ body but still quite energizing acidity. Classic grass, asparagus, stony, ripe but green apples, lemon.

Briar fruits with hints of garrigue, minerals and graphite. Tannins still rather astringent. After 4 hours, tannins still very firm and dusty. Flavors still a bit muted, expected to unlock with additional aging. I would wait a few more years before trying this vintage again.

Dark, impenetrable garnet. Very young nose, dark fruit and winery smells, a bit of floral as well. Dry dark fruit and lactic flavours. Needs 5 years. Lots of potential.

Good in all aspects. Nice subdued nose. Good fruit and smooth finish. Not great but pretty darn good.

For a Petite Syrah, this is good and true to varietal. It is dark and inky. It's not overpowering and not big on tannins, but it is big wine. I paired with a rib eye and it was almost too big. But as I get older, I like the super powerful wines less and those with a bit more nuance better. It was better after a few days in the wine keeper. So for type, low 90's, for me personally, mid 80's. It was a gift. I would not purchase.

With its gold yellow colour, sticky tears and exploding fruit bomb, this youngster provides hedonistic drinking pleasure, no reason to wait for "improvement", this already is lush and succulent

An excellent Chianti. Medium bodied, not over extracted, well balanced. In a perfect spot now. Will seek out more

Southern rhone power meets northern rhone freshness and precision.
The bouquet is more on the red fruit, amarena cherries, a touch of wild strawberries (a touch of Commando G) but some garrigue and peppery spice at the same time.
The palate has a good acidity, intense but fine grained tannins. Overall a domaine which demonstrates how to handle the current weather and heat spikes and create a balanced wine which does not tire you out after the first sip.

Made with the best fruit sourced from the Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco estates. First vinified by foot-treading, then followed by additional extraction by robotic plungers. Fortified with 77% aguardente, aged in large oak vats for 1½ to 2 years, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. 20,5% alcohol, 93 g/l residual sugar and 4,7 g/l acidity.

Deep, slightly evolved blood-red color with a light brick-red rim. The nose feels dark-toned and a bit restrained with aromas of blackberry jam, some aguardente notes, a little bit of ripe black cherry, light raisiny nuances, a hint of dried dates, a touch of earthy spices and a fragrant whiff of dried flowers. The wine feels sweet, rich and somewhat voluptuous on the palate with a full body and very juicy flavors of blackberry jam, some bilberry tones, light dried-fruit notes of raisins and dried figs, a little bit of overripe black cherry, hints of tobacco and earthy spices and a touch of aguardente. The overall feel is getting quite resolved and a bit soft with the medium acidity and ample yet very ripe and quite gentle tannins that slowly pile up on the gums. The finish is rich, long and somewhat grippy with a bold, sweet aftertaste of bilberries, some raisiny tones, a little bit of wizened figs, light blackberry jam notes, a hint of earthy spice and a touch of overripe black cherry.

A quite big, lush and unctuous Vintage Port that might've been mighty impressive in its youth, but has started to turn a bit flabby with age. The wine shows impressive richness of fruit and intensity of flavors, but the hot vintage really does show: the structure feels a bit inadequate in relation to the rich, sunny fruit that has started to develop into the direction of dried fruits. Although there is still room for additional evolution, I feel there won't be much development in a qualitative sense - the wine will only develop tertiary complexity as it ages, but it won't necessarily get any better from here. Drink or keep. Feels somewhat pricey for the quality at 158€.

Some very classic Meursault notes of butteryness and caramelized lemon on the nose. Subtle and not as refined as many on the nose but that does not mean any downside on this wine. Salty layer on palate and a medium concentration makes this a suberp half bottle to have for those nights.

Great pinot nose with farmyard smells and ripe dark cherry and ripe blackberry.
In the mouth the acidity is a bit too high which throws the balance off a bit

Pall Mall 67, Singapore. I see i have a previous note on this which may be more accurate in relation to the unique Pinot Blanc profile. Tonight it is the pereceived dosage that sticks out. Palate bias after a slew of zero dosage Champagnes a few days ago.

Gave it a 40-45 minute decant before consuming. Wine has a lovely “pop” of cherry and other red fruit flavors along with a hint of leather/earth. Very smooth mouthfeel and the Finnish does not really linger. Compared to the 2016 Don’s Block that was consumed the night before, this wine does come in second place but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a really good wine. Very enjoyable and will buy again on the next trip to Emeritus as part of the portfolio from the winemaker.

PnP well aged sweetish juice with nice gentle background acidity still lurking around and helping to keep this thing together. 92-93 nose, but the palate feels somehow slightly worn. Hence a respectable 91 here.

Enjoyable but still not thrilled by the 89 Margaux. It was resolved and integrated with a leafy character, alongside earth, dried fruit, and tobacco.

Crystal clear grassy yellow with great vibrancy in the glass. Saline , focused , interest in front, mid palate and finish. Citrus notes of lemon and the more gentle lime . This wine maker never fails to make us happy with his wines. It paired with multiple different dishes without difficulty.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light lemon-green colour, with wide watery rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of green fruit of gooseberry and green apple, citrus fruit of lime, herbaceous notes of grassy, floral notes of acacia, sweet spice of fennel, maturity notes of hay. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium body, with medium (+) flavours of citrus fruit of lime, green fruit of apple and gooseberry, stone fruit of peach, sweet spice of white pepper, maturity notes of honey. The wine has a medium finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Bordeaux white with an intense nose showing good varietal characters, with good fruity and floral notes as well as the herbaceous and sweet spices. On the palate the wine has good acidity, refreshing and having good energy and vibrancy, showing good concentration of flavours and a reasonable length on the finish. It is ready to drink now and not intend for further ageing.

Fifth bottle of six. That colour of antique gold. Aromas of cereals and candied lemons. Also a touch of salt and vegetables. In the mouth it retains a successful acidity but its texture is merely watery but tasty and with a certain length. In my humble opinion it is still one of the best Ribeiro that is made in Rías Baixas. The last bottle for 2028.

Quinta botella de seis. Del color del oro viejo. Aromas a cereales y a limones confitados.

Clear pale brick; clean medium plus nose of soil, red cherries and florality - initially had a slightly vegetal nose that blew off after about 30 minutes; dry; high acidity; medium tannins; medium plus alcohol; medium body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of ripe cranberry and some cocoa; medium plus finish; drink now or within a few years; one of the nicer Ontario Pinots that we’ve drunk; paired beautifully with pork tenderloin marinated in rosemary and thyme
