A lovely dry white with a pineapple & peach flavour with a crisp after taste.
Great wine that goes well with chicken & a bit of spice as the fruit flavours balance out the spice.

Mid-yellow colour; quite ripe melon and peach fruit with a touch of lemon. Good weight and length. An attractive wine for current drinking, but will keep.

Excellent sparkling wine, that is made in a serious style. Long ageing on the lees and 20% reserve wine make for a wine that is initial dominated by secondary and a bit of oxidative aromas.

Bought a bottle and would have bought more if I would not travel by train..

Opened too early. Degorgement feb 2020. Light golden yellow in the glass, fine and consistent perlage. On the nose beautiful notes of toast, butter, sweets, flowers and a little honey.
Very fresh in the mouth, with hints of freshly roasted almonds. Slightly savory finish.

This has elegant, perfumed fruit, raspberry and blueberry. Medium to full on the palate, and a well rounded finish. Well structured and will keep well. Perhaps I should keep my last bottle for 2 or 3 years.

Ethereal nose. All that elegant Graves can be. Smokey velvet , dark cherry, sour cherry, aged wood, scents of an old castle. One of the better Haut Brions I have had, though a little lean after an hour in the middle range of fruit expression versus acid balance. A very full and delightful finish. No decant.

This is perhaps riper and with more depth than previous bottles. However, it is fairly light and a touch rustic. Not bad.

Golden straw colored, medium bodied, rich and textured, intense bright pear, melon, green apple and citrus fruit flavors with pain grille notes accentuated with dusty rose, white flowers and chalky minerals ending with a bright, crisp finish.

90 for now. This is an absolute baby, but promising. Thankfully, it is a California wine that seems to have been created in an old world style - thank goodness. Unfortunately, right now there is a lot of simple grape juice flavor that will no doubt come together in a more refined meritage in time. There are plenty of traditional undertones in both aroma and on the palate that are trying to push through. Hopefully they will.

5/5 THIS IS A FANTASTIC WINE. VIIBRANT AND DEEP FLAVORS, GREAT BODY, DEEP COLOR
The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raisin, apricot, pear, cantaloupe, honeydew, melon, papaya, black pepper, honeysuckle and butterscotch. It tastes like gooseberry, raisin, apricot, pear, peach, cantaloupe, honeydew, melon, papaya, black pepper, honeysuckle, orange blossom, peach blossom and honey. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

This '01 was dark garnet colored, full bodied, firm and a bit tight, forward black cherry, black currant and black cherry fruits, accented by tones of black tea, black olive, herb, cedar and spice, finishing with gripping lingering tannins. Holding up nicely at 23 years - the cork, fill level, label and foil were in perfect condition (shown in submitted picture), better than previous bottle consumed a decade earlier.

Wow. Stunning nose. Whipped cream. Freshly baked croissants. Hints of vanilla. Spices and a bit of Peach. Straddles the line between edgy and full of flavor & honey. Amazing on the plaate - enters with a melange of sweet fruit - nectarines and red apples along with croissants or buttered fresh baked bread. Honey. It’s sweet and packs a punch of flavor but it’s got a lot of acid and structure humming underneath. The finish starts sweet but tons of acid pulse as it expands. Exciting mature Riesling that wowed the table and was my WOTN along w the 04 Levet Maestria. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 6/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 18/20.

Dark garnet colored, medium-full bodied, complex, concentrated, forward, structured black berry and tangy black currant fruits with notes of pipe tobacco, black tea, graphite and hints of milk chocolate, anise and spicy cinnamon turning to firm but silky smooth approachable tannins on the long tangy acidic lingering finish. This is getting better every year. In 2020 I wrote, this needs a few more years to settle, soften and integrate further. It’s working as this was delicious and likely will continue to improve with some more aging over the next several years. I wish I had more.

Got another chance to try this. Others tried it blind and nailed it as Monte Bello. Lots of good palates at the table and not one remarked on any flaw or smoke taint. This comes off as a young Monte Bello -!huge and super pure - amazing fruit - red lots of oak. Huge and exotic Dill new oak. Palate is monstrousness and huge and super full - oak and massive fruit.

Tasting at the winery.

Very nice Pinot. Dark cherry, some roasted notes like coffee, a bit of rose hip.
I was told this is made with up to 40% whole cluster.
Well integrated oak from 20% new barrels.
The acidity adds to the structure and freshness.
Overall great structure and balance.

Excellent wine with much potential. (91-92)

Darker than the 04s and showing that young levet wildness. Nose shows olive and some Graham cracker. - meaty and olive. Dark blue fruits. Big and savory. Some lactic acid or something. Finish is acidic and tart. This needs air or time. Probably a 16/20.

Lots of VA on the nose. Similar on the palate. One can see some nice wine under there with pure red blue fruits but I can’t get past the VA

Started out more closed. Nose is reticent for me but others diagree. I get some cracker and Graham cracker. Palate has tons of potential and power. Very sauvage on the palate. Tangy and umami with lots of meat. The finish is very meaty and savory. Great grip. Later, the nose still closed but palate is very typical with lots of umami and olive. Very sauvage with tons of granite and rocks. Finish is olive and STGT. Nose - 4.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5/20.

Revisited 2.5 years on.
It hasn’t improved, flattened out a little.
Not much primary fruit left. Dried fruit, leather, earth.
I’m a little less clear on longevity (9 bottles left), will revisit later this year and review.
