Nicely mature red fruit aromas and flavors with subtle spice and forest floor. Slightly less firmness, length and concentration vs the best1993 Grand Crus, but a tasty glass of wine for near term enjoyment.

Very earthy ripe red fruit. Whole I also like the minerality, it comes across as borderline tired.

Floral and spice driven aromas with nicely mature cross section of red cherry and berry. Slightly more mature flavors with similar profile, good+ weight and length. I doubt any more upside from here, but should hold nicely for a decade+ as it evolves.

Popped and poured. Starts with apple and floral hints on the nose, but far more forward flavors of ripe apple and pear, lots of spice, and chiseled minerality. Kept expanding through the 45 minute lunch, with great floral and orchard fruit aromas finally emerging at the bottle's finale.

Ripe and forward fruit with good concentration and easily enough structure in support. Nicely tasty for the next few years.

Somewhat oxidized. The replacement 2007 much better.

Ripe fruit almost seemed too ripe, but very bright acidity and vibrant minerally textures kept this in really wonderful balance through the entire evening.

Ripe and nicely mature black fruit with moderate spice and some noteworthy smoked sausage character. Very good for 25+ yo Villages.

The next table generously shared this glass. Reminiscent of tasting this barrel one year ago, this is completely engaging aromatically, with the Bizot's great perfume notes I find comparable to Leroy's. Wonderfully charming bright re fruit as well. This is how to enjoy Bizot - young and having barely traveled far from Vosne.

Lean and lemony with a minerally mineral, plus lots of acid on finish. Good length, bright and fun. Better with food than on its own.

floral start with apple, lemon and lemon peel throughout. Very long finish with acid and minerality coming through most prominently from middle to very long finish. Good now, better perhaps in another year.

From magnum. Lush black berries with a hint of plum and a trace of sweet brown spice. Moderate structure and length, slightly better weight. At its peak now.

From magnum. Cross-section of red, black and blue fruit here with savory spice. Moderate weight and length, but very nuanced flavors already starting to unfold. Very elegant textures. Great Villages wine.

Moderately ripe red fruit with good spice that does not across as perfectly pristine any more.

Ripe Apple throughout with lemon peel finish. Good+ weight, density and length, with noteworthy balance. Good now.

Floral, minty with Apple, spice and quince on nose and palate. More accessible vs another bottle in the US a few weeks ago. Long, sleek and elegant.

Ripe Apple and peach with lots of floral and spice throughout. While not showing nearly the structural or textural nuance of the Ramonet in the next glass, this still had a good sense of energy all the way through to its finish.

Early spring flowers with mint and licorice supporting ripe and forward orchard fruit aromas and flavors. Not a powerhouse, but this is a wine with great length and seemingly perfect balance and persistence.

Popped and poured. Served double blind. I correctly identified this as either Gamay or Passetoutgrains based on its vibrant, fun jamminess. My confidence wavered as this wine showed more heft and structure with a few more minutes of air, but the bottle was unveiled quickly enough before I could second guess my assessment. Very tasty for its price and certainly easy to enjoy.

Popped and poured. Lemon, quince, allspice and ginger throughout. Some faint tropical fruit to start, which disappeared quickly, while the overall wine really finished with real cut and energy. Needs time.

So good last week i couldn't resist again. This time we had the time to give it 30 minutes air before pouring (while drinking the Rougeots 2013). Expressive floral and orchard fruit from start-to-finish on nose and palate. Once again showing excellent concentration and minerality. A masterpiece I will gladly enjoy when it's really ready in another 3-10 years.

Spring flowers with apple and lemon aromas. Similar fruit flavors with a lean character and firm, nicely textured, long finish. Pronounced acidity with plenty of mineral for Charmes. There was a faint trace of sulfur to start, so I'd recommend a quick decant of served young, but this is drinking well already for PYCM Chassagne 1er.

Open 30 minutes before serving. Bright red cherry with baking spice. Unmistakably Vosne. Elegant, lingering finish with almost perfect harmony and balance. Moderate-to-long finish, moderate depth and concentration. I way underrated this wine when tasted at a meal one year ago in Burgundy.
