Introduction
this year's vinosphere was, as usual, long on great wine and short on time and, as usual, I tried to do as much as possible as quickly as possible which explains the relative paucity of these notes...

Clean, citrus, slight smoky stone. Juicy, fleshy, slightly bitter, medium plus length.

2017 Domaine des Hâtes Petit Chablis
Cream, butter, slight toast, lemon. Sharp acid. Slight butter, little else.

2017 Jean-Louis Chavy Bourgogne Blanc
Medium minus intensity aromas of stone, citrus. Juicy, slight sharp acid but a bit flat. Meh.

Butter, cream, quite rich nose over citrus elements. Palate reflects nose, buttery, finishes a little bitter.

Toast, butter, stone fruit, slight sweet spice. Juicy, fleshy, textured, butter, stone fruit. Medium plus length.

Stalks, charry, cherry and a little coffee. Stalky with slightly bitter cherry.

Cherry, a little more oak, pretty fruit with a savoury underpin. Lovely red cherry on the palate. textured. Good.

Smells slightly sour and stalky. Palate reflects this, juicy, fleshy, slight sour, slight stalky cherry fruit. Hmm.

Medium minus intensity aromas shows a little red currant and black tea. Sharp acid and palate burr, lacks fruit. Nah.

Smells Unfined and unfiltered, stalks, whole bunch berry sweetness. Fleshy, juicy, more of the same fruit and flavourwise on the palate. Yum. But needs time.

Lovely, fruit forward, stone fruit, little struck match and butter. Juicy on the plate, slightly textured, long. Yum.

Medium minus intensity aromas, a little baked black fruit, savoury. In the mouth more black fruit, warm, huge grippy tannins but surprisingly clean.

Pot pourri, dried flowers, red cherry, slightly sour. Tea. Cherry, pretty fruit. Controlled and balanced. Nice.

Round, meaty, slight vegetal note hand in hand with orchard fruit, cream. Very slightly off dry, touch of spritz, crushed red apples. Hmm. Time.

Whole bunch prettiness to the front , spice. Surprisingly rich and dense on the palate with a jubey black fruit, slightly creamy, alcoholic warmth.

Gamey, smells wet and mineral, touches of mountain spring, a little freshly sour lemonade on the palate. Textured. Hmm.

Glue, slight vinegar and an odd fishy note, a bit like seafood with a sweet apple sauce but, and this sounds increasingly odd, not in a bad way. Just, well, odd.

Gamey, old smelling, leather, very slight spritzy, tightly textured, leathery.

Corked and oxidised, toast, citrus, cloves, medicinal herbs, slight alcohol warmth. FLAW

Smells old and slightly oxidised but still strangely fresh. Chewy, grippy tannins close down the palate but, again, it does have a strange freshness…interesting.

Closing
Phew. A bit elbows at dawn. I would have loved another hour though. The Georgian bracket was kind of interesting. My first 'deep' encounter with those wines. I'd like to have another go…
