Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Vilmart & Cie Champagne Premier Cru Cuvée Rubis France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
92 points
There is ripe red fruit on this, brioche, nuts, and good complexity.

White - Sparkling
N.V. Marc Hébrart Champagne Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
91 points
Good Champagne flavor of yeast and oak. As a BdB, it is on the lighter energy-driven style, while still possessing a depth to it that I don't usually find in an NV.
White - Sparkling
2013 Ultramarine Blanc de Blancs Heintz Vineyard Sonoma Coast USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
91 points
Slightly oxidative in nature, there is some funk along with a touch of sweetness. This seems classy, and the style does not resemble Champagne much.

White - Sparkling
N.V. Champagne Le Mesnil Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
92 points
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite NV champagnes. From the beginning, the nose is toasty. There is yeast and lemon. This champagne is big and bold, and yet the chardonnay seems to keep it in check. This champagne took on weight and became richer with air exposure, and warming up.

Flight 2 (5 notes)

White
2015 Cantina Terlan Sauvignon Terlano Winkl Italy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Alto Adige, Terlano
For me, this is very in-your-face sauvignon blanc, with tons of grapefruit.
Rosé
2017 Château d'Aqueria Tavel France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Tavel
85 points
I agree with other notes on candied cherries and juicy fruit. This was surprisingly fruity to me, with a bubble gum component to the palate.
White
2015 00 Wines Chardonnay VGW USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
89 points
I found this to be an acceptable chardonnay with significant oak and not that interesting. 88-89
White - Off-dry
2012 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
92 points
A small pour at a tasting. This is consistent for the producer and this bottling. It seemed fusely. The acid and sweetness have great balance. The ripe golden fruit is very showy right now. If you like them young, there is no reason not to drink this now.

White
2011 Olivier Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs-Gain France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
93 points
This is a wonderful taut white burgundy. The minerality of wet rocks dominates. There is the essence of golden fruit, and it is not that fruity. There is great balance here.

Flight 3 (9 notes)

Red
2015 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard USA, California, Santa Cruz Mountains
I don't think this was decanted. Almost primary, lots of ripe raspberry and cherry. Maybe a touch of earth. Needs time. Unscored.

Red
2014 00 Wines Pinot Noir VGR USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills
To me, this has divine ripe raspberries, and that's all. Fruit-forward right now, but the fruit is stunning. I'd like to taste it again in 3-4 years. Unscored.
Red
2008 Sine Qua Non Syrah B 20 USA, California, Central Coast
94 points
I do not know if this was decanted. It was completely in the zone. Savory, beefy, bacon, rich and balanced. Blueberry dominates for fruit. I'm not sure if the current release prices are justified, but this bottle was impressive.
Red
2000 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
94 points
Consistent with the last bottle 1.5 years ago. This was quite complex from the beginning. It is classic Beaucastel, with tobacco, earth and garrigue. This wine is not heavy or alcoholic, but the profile is more full-bodied.

Heat damaged, from Envoyer

2005 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
92 points
This was drinking very well for a young Beaucastel. I feel that a few more years will allow this wine to turn the corner. Garrigue, stones, anise, good structure and shows a lot of fruit right now.

2010 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
93 points
This was drinking better than I anticipated. Thankfully, this wine still has a very traditional CDP profile. At this age, you wonder if it will be in a dumb phase, but this bottle was not.

2004 La Rioja Alta Rioja Gran Reserva 904 Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja
92 points
This wine was a little pickley. Other than that, wonderfuly balance and savory. These traditional Spanish producers are real gems.

2001 Bodegas Resalte de Peñafiel Ribera del Duero Gran Resalte Spain, Castilla y León, Ribera del Duero
92 points
Pop and pour, this bottle was slightly muted. I kind of forgot about it in my bag with some freezer packs, so it was served too cold. Even after warming up, it was charming and balanced, but didn't have the depth that previous bottles have had. Either this bottle had faded, or it was manhandled by me.
