Introduction

A really fantastic night of burgundies up at Knightsbridge with Eric Rousseau, Nadine Gublin (Prieur), and Nicholas Potel. Nadine was at our table and was a lovely person.

Nice lineup of 06s to get started folllowed by some truly spectacular wines with dinner. Chef Matt did good work on this one.

Full bright red color. Nice briar focused lifted red fruit nose with mineral notes. Nice round ripe red fruit on the palate with a long finish. This was one of my favorite of the 06 Potels.

Full deep red color. Somewhat tighter sweet black fruit and fig on the nose. Tight sweet black fruit on the palate. Dense, serious, and young. A great Beaujolais, though not inexpensive either.

Full red color. Towering aroma of sweet ripe boysenberry fruit. Really nice focused red sweet fruit. Somewhat simple, but good structure. Another very good Beaujolais.

Full bright red color. Big nose of black cherry fruit with a medicinal band-aid note along with briar and spice. Mmmn, huge big black cherry, earth, spice, candied cassis, and oak notes. Tons going on here with upside if the nose comes together better. 94+ pts.

Full red purple color. Lovely lighte lifted purple fruit nose. Mmmn, huge bowl of black cherries with plenty of spice and sweet. Tons of complexity going on here too. Just a step above the Chambertin for WOTN. 95-96 pts.
