Too big, one note, and hot for me. I used to like this wine, but I think both the wine and my palate have changed over the years.

Definitely needs a few more years to develop.

Really beautiful Chardonnay. Perfectly integrated at this point. Elegant and balanced. Nose and palate develops wonderfully as it opens, with elements of pineapple, guava, vanilla, along with floral notes. Moderate acid, long finish.

This is drinking perfectly now. Wonderfully balanced. On the edge between green core fruits and tropical fruits.

Clear, medium yellow color. Clean, medium plus intensity nose with apple, pear, and pineapple with warm secondary notes of toast and nutmeg. Medium-plus acid. Palate is similar to nose with plenty of warm baking spice.

Long finish that leaves me wanting more.

Not usually a fan the Kosta Browne style - too overly extracted for me. But this wine was beautiful. Balanced, complex, and developed over the course of an evening contemplating it.

Palate started with strong cherry which became more earthy as it opened, transitioning to more tamari notes.

Simply an outstanding wine. Perfect balance of fruit and earthiness. Nose started with strawberry jam, but got darker and earthier as it opened. Palate had lots of dark fruit leather and sous bois, with even acidity throughout.

Very big California Pinot Noir, but very balanced fruit & earth and drinking well right now. Some complexity in both the nose and palate, with a very long finish.

Drinking incredibly well right now. Nose of red currant and fennel. Balanced palate with red fruit and light anise. Moderate acid, light but present tannins.

So much going on here. Very big for a Williams Selyem, but nicely balanced. Pop & pour, but enjoyed over several hours. The flavor profile developed significantly over that time. Started with menthol on the nose and palate, along with a bit of a (too) strong cherry palate. But as it opened those elements moved to the background an Ethernet acid and earth became more prominent. Very nice.

Drinking incredibly well right now (Nov 2018). So well balanced on the nose and palate. Nose has dust and earth, a bit of pleasant olive / vegetal, a core of dark fruit, and a touch of menthol. Palate has cassis, chalk / stone, and menthol again. Perfect mild / moderate acid and tannins. I am really enjoying this one.

A beautiful and balanced Pinot. Sous bois on the nose & palate. Plenty of fruit balanced with that earthiness, and with hints of graham cracker & beeswax. Moderate acid that holds throughout.

Classic Sauternes with great balance of sweetness and acidity.

Very slightly salmon/pink hue. Light fruit notes with touches of peach and strawberry. Very balanced.

Decanted for 2 hours. Still tannic, but the fruit is soft. Some herbal/mint notes. We still have another so it will be interesting to see how it continues to age.

Paired with a salad with onions, feta, peaches, and nectarines. Holy WOW! It really brought out the stone fruit notes in the wine. Beautiful pairing!

This is a huge California Syrah. Rich, smokey, with layers of blueberries, cocoa and cedar. Not a very complex wine, but not there is definitely development in the glass over time with multiple notes. I really enjoyed this one.

Bought 4 bottles of this years ago. The last bottle has been sitting in my fridge for probably 8 years because I found the others cloyingly sweet. Just opened the last bottle, and it was pretty good. Still minimal acidity, of course, but other characteristics present that make it pretty interesting.

This is what a California Pinot should taste like. Just perfect balance of earth, fruit, acid, and tannins. Nose of fall leaves, cherries, and a hint of mushroom and rosemary. Palate is similar - primarily cherry, but balanced with cola and earth. Moderate acid and light tannins.

So freakin' good. Just a solid representation of the Williams-Selyem style. Lots of strawberry on the nose and palate, perfect acid profile from start to finish, and just enough earth and forest floor to make it balanced.

Pop & pour. Great balance of earth and fruit. Dark red color. Nose of dried leaves, cassis, and a touch of vanilla. A bit of alcohol heat in the nose early on. Palate also has some heat. Black cherry fruit leather with earthy spice on the palate. Moderate tannins. Really liked this, but should have held another 2 years or decanted for a few hours.

I can understand why some people rated this in the low 80's, but my palate disagrees. This is a Scotch-drinker's Sauterne. It has elements of butter orange peel and iodine on the palate and I like those notes. Could stand for a touch more acid, but still very interesting wine.

May just be the bottle, but seemed a bit funky, acidic , and short. Still interesting, though.

Cola and sarsaparilla on the nose, along with a good dose of alcohol. Dark red fruit on the palate. Very nice wine, but too much extraction and alcohol for my taste.

Wonderful expression of California Pinot. Rich nose of earth and dried red fruit. Palate of graphite and muted currants. Moderate acidity on finish with mild tannins.

Nice, but lacks acid to balance the sweetness. A bit cloying as a result.
