This was such a good wine. Smooth and flavorful without being overpowered by fruit. Oh, there is fruit...but it is very nicely balanced. The next day, it still tasted fresh.

Well made, smooth and pleasant, but lacking interest. I expected more from this bottle.

My last bottle and I'm sad to see it go. Just a lovely cab and drinking at its peak. Dee-Lish.

Maybe a touch too much butter than I want in a SB, but still quite good. I mean, isn't everything better with butter, after all?

i just love this wine. I discovered it at Momofuku Milk bar, then ran out and bought a few bottles. Matched with Asian food, especially if it has some kick/spice, it makes the perfect compliment. It's balance of sweet and dry just works perfectly for my palate. Had last night with Chinese food and it made me smile, just as it did the last time I had it. Dee-lish.

A wonderful wine to commemorate the first signs of warm weather. Like springtime in a bottle. Deliciously smooth and integrated, with vanilla and butter leading the charge of flavors.

Good enough. I love Bedrock zins and blends, but have never been seduced by the syrahs. It continues to hold true.

As my man Action Bronson would say, Fuck That's Delicious. Espresso and beef jerky on the nose, chocolate covered cherries with a long, smooth finish. Stupendous.

Decanted for 3 hours. Elegant and super smooth. Good fruit and acidity. It lacked some of the power I expected and that others have eluded to in their notes. Enjoyable, but not the barolo I would break out for a special occasion.

Cranberry with a touch of tire rubber on the nose. Red fruits with a tartness that takes it down a notch and gives away that this is not the best of the Kistler portfolio. This is good stuff, but i am not impressed at this price level.

Consistent with previous notes. So good.

Lovely nose. Pepper, stewed fruits and a touch of smoke. Still quite tannic, indicating significant potential aging ahead. I have one more bottle and will give it some time. It was pleasnt enough, particularly with food, but I think it will be more integrated with time. This wine has good structure and improved with air, but I think there is more pleasure here than it gave me tonight. I hope the next time around it tastes every bit as good as it smelled.

Served from a magnum for Thanksgiving dinner. Really drinking well, but still showing signs of a longer life. Not this bottle though! Such a delicious wine, with lots of well integrated fruit and a smooth, long finish. Yum.

First bottle of the day at Thanksgiving. Too late now to recall specific notes, but it was bursting with flavor. I thought it might be challenging for our guests, but was very well recieved.

This is a tall, full bodied woman with exaggerated curves in all the right places. The kind of a woman you wonder if you can handle, but never pause in your attempt to find out. Powerful, sexy...a punch in the head with a velvet glove. My first of 6 bottles, I expect each one will be a similar and yet completely different experience, as this wine clearly has much development and transformation ahead of it. Wow.

Gorgeous nose, with aromas of dark fruit and figs. Tannins are still quite strong, but pleasant. Good acid and a fairly long finish. All that said, the flavor profile of this wine is just not that interesting to me. For all the recognition of good wine making and positive elements, I just don't like it very much and isn't that what it's REALLY about? Others may enjoy, but I guess it's not my style.

Silky smooth. While this may not me as explosive as some Marcassin pinots, it was delicately delicious tonight. So, so good.

My last bottle in this vintage, but this is a favorite chianti for me and I plan to continue buying and drinking these. Had with veal parmigiana...what could be better? Love the power the cabernet element of this wine provides, balanced with the raw elegance of sangiovese. Yum.

Floral nose with a touch of cream. Good acid and a little sting. This is still coming together. I may not open the next one til spring.

Popped and poured, which was a mistake. This wine needs air. The last few sips were excellent. Do yourself a favor and decant!

This is so friggin good. Cherry cola, cranberry, fruit-o-licious. Well integrated and drinking really well. I guess you could wait, but why? Meanwhile, if I keep buying Bedrock by the case and waiting for deeper development I will run out of cellar space. Drink up!

Last of my 2010s. On to the 11s and 12s. This is a consistently tasty Pinot. Rich and fruit forward, I think it is excellent relative to others in this price range and keep coming back for more.

My first Griffin. I was not disappointed. This is a fabulous wine that would have a long life ahead of it, if it wasn't so pleasurable already! Deep, rich and bursting with fruit. Power that suggests significant aging potential. I'm just not sure I can be that patient. If you are someone who adds points for value, this is easily a 93+.

Paired with foie gras and saved a little for dessert. Was very pleasant and certainly added an element of elegance to our meal, but lacked the depth I was expecting. I would gladly have again, but with lower expectations.

Always my favorite Sauvignon Blanc, and this might be the best one yet. Clear and light color. On the nose, honeydew, citrus, flowers...and a touch of asphalt. The aromas swirl around the glass. Luxurious mouth feel, crisp and clean. Simply delicious.

The last of my stash of 2001 and 2002 Neal's. A really solid Cab and a consistent value. This was drinking very well and was still full of life, although I would not wait much longer.

This was a little challenging at first, but opened up nicely. Lots of pleasure for this price point. Still, it's not that inexpensive and there are other options in the mid $20s.

I have had many a Turley Zin, but this is my 1st Hayne. After a 2 hour decant, the initial nose is alcohol, prunes and yes, raisins. This must have been decadent when youthful. Now rich and mature, showing dried fruits, particularly apricots, with a hint of Robitussin. My lesson from this wine was that even though a wine CAN age, doesn't mean it should.

Still one of my favorite Cabs. WOTN on a 4 bottle night. So smooth and elegant, with a long, clean finish. Decanted at the restaurant for about an hour and it was ready to go. Still full of life, but drinking just beautifully right now. Good stuff.

This is a well structured syrah. Very pleasant and drinking well. While certainly not disappointing, it did not strike me as particularly special or memorable. Still, I had no complains. It really was a fine, well made wine that I would be happy to drink again. I'm just not sure I would seek it out.

Wow. I’m not sure how this could have been any better. From the first whiff to the last taste, pure pleasure. Four hour decant. Bursting with life and a cycling palate of flavors, every sip seemingly more intriguing than the last. This wine is why we love wine.
