Definitely the best Fortia I have had - but by no means greatness - it’s does have more plummy and soft character than the regular cuvées. And much less hard and rough - but really the retail price is too steep

Beautiful Pinot gris from Zind Humbrecht - probably it’s not that far from being fully mature

Beautiful but simply I found the acidity to young! It really needs more time! It will become so great!

This was surprisingly fresh but simply didn’t have any fruit left of interest - could be drunk but was completely overshadowed by a 1990 Carbonnieux

A beautiful wine but not the most complex Dom Pérignon - the mousse was quite discreet for only 23 years old. I’m guessing the 1999 Dom Won’t make old bones

Just a hint of sound when opened - wine spouted in glass - light colour but not a bubble in sight - taste flat and slightly bitter - flawed

Extremely fresh and young - shockingly so! It was almost a bit muted at first since I know this chateau to make
More rich and powerful wines - this is no doubt the most elegant example I have had - I have more bottles
And they need time - lovely

Nice grower Champagne if a bit on the tart side - one can probably not drive Pinot Blanc much further apart from one or two better growers - so this would have benefited with just a hint of dosage - it’s no date wine but still good

I bought this to a restaurant on a date with the wife - I took a risk on it being closed so we had it decanted and took our time with some champagne first - And it it really paied off! This was the wine of the year so far - young but no crime to drink now. stunning through and through and will only improve !! Wow

A bit of a disappointment compared to the Crozes-Hermitage - this really doesn’t hold a lot of fruit - quite hard and un giving. Sure there is a bit of depth as it’s a good producer but apparently Crozes is where it’s at.

Pop and pour into decanter - this is a really chewy and great ultra young wine. I am tempted to get some more to put in the cellar !!

I was stunned how great this has aged - it is still very fresh and was guessed to be Puligny-Montrachet - can go even further. Alas my last bottle - it was a great ride

A great wine in the making but alas it’s very closed right now. The 90 is for the greatness of the silky texture. Can go much higher in time

Bizar note of champagne in an oxidized style - drinkable but what a shame. I’m begging to think Dublère had serious problems in 2014

This was singing last night - been a millions years since I had a Condrieu and this was top shelf. Only thing that was of was a quite present aftertaste of well licorice? I’m thinking it was the oak somehow - this will need a few years in the cellar - and I do mean just a few years. But then it will be rocking. Yes I’m a burgundy and Bordeaux man but this is a nice change

Very oxidized - but that’s not the general problem it’s orange in colour but frankly it’s simply quite short in
Taste. It’s not the blandest Vin Jauve I’ve had - but it’s close

I never thought I would drink a wine like this with a bit of age but found one at a serious discount and it was actually quite decent. Yes it’s polished but there was some secondary aromas that were quite nice. Made for rich easy drinking

Nice but a little underwhelming for what it was - very ripe but lacking serious acidity and freshness for the age. It survived the Roquefort but only barley - cheap but there are much mlbetter Sauternes to but now for the same price

Lovely wine but perhaps not so Puligny in style? Low acidity for the pedigree - but good core of ripe yellow fruit
Red

This was perhaps slightly disappointing considering the pedigree - the nose was beautiful and actually very blackcurrants which lead away from Syrah and towards more Cabernet Sauvignon - but that’s fine but the taste was very drying and I did miss a little more lush fruit to compare to the dark tannins - on the upside this was extremely elegant and light bodied which was wonderful - it will be interesting to see what a few more years will do😎

I have had some wines from Pernot that did not impress me very much - too heavy or perhaps just a bit too simple. But this was very nice and surprisingly good really. 90 points - probably 91 if the acidity had been a bit higher
