The best of this cuvée so far - disgorged Jan 2016. Really deep and satisfying

Amazing complexity for its level- perhaps the best HCDN ever? Wow - 2015 at it finest. So pure red fruit

Slightly more developed and less complex that previous bottles - still wonderful experience. Don’t
Drink half and leave the rest for the next day - it will fall apart quickly

2006 Champagne Billecart-Salmon Cuvée Louis Blanc de Blancs - this was a beautiful and pure Chardonnay which benefited from the rich 2006 vintage yet retained super fresh acidity and tons of yellow fruit and minerals. I’m a few years this will be absolutely stunning!

This bottle seemed darker and more evolved than last time. The cork was wet so perhaps that’s the reason. But it’s still very lovely only a bit short compared to Macles usual high standards.

This bottle was more young Than the last - incredible. It really needs much more time. Like
A great cote de nuits but with funk

A nice fresh Champagne in àn understated style. Very food friendly but it’s too expensive for what it is

Too much oak on this one! And it’s a real shame - if if it’s the elegance of the 2017 vintage that can’t handle it or what I don’t know but I’m thinking a wine on this level is meant to be drunk young/youngish so you shouldn’t really be made to wait for the oak to integrate.

My last bottle - and I’m tempted to say thank god. Where is the red sexy fruit it had upon release??? Funky and bony is not a nice combination- only the nose has some complexity to offer

Incredibly shut right now! I knew probably should not have opened this wine - so classic 2014 the acidity was like a jura savaging! And the Chassagne-Montrachet footprint was not there. I can’t remember when I last tasted a fine 1er Cru like this so backward. Forget the 2014s for now

Somehow very different from my first bottle that was juicy and quite lovely- further away from the dry “normal” style of Sangiovese that I don’t like. This bottle seemed more in that way unfortunately. The nose was the best part. But wine seemed “thin” and lacking that soft red charming fruit. How can it be the same bottle? It has only been a month. Anyway that was my last and I won’t buy it if I see it again

About same as last time - it’s literally uncharming at this point - lacking fruit or seemingly bony. Drinking okay but I want more!

Very much in its infant stage right now. I can go no higher than 91 and that more for the good dark
Fruits than anything else. Funny that the last time
I tasted this wine a week back it was much more charming - probably had a good decant

My first try of this wine! Wow I’m impressed- delicious with oysters. It wasn’t that hard for a 2008. It will be great to follow this wine!

What!!??? Just incredible!! This wine keeps getting better and better - and by saying that I mean it keeps firming up and gets fresher and fresher? How that possible? The acidity in this bottle is right on the money!! Like a rich Chassagne-Montrachet! Alas I only have one bottle left. I don’t drink much Californian wine anymore but I only have love for Ridge! Wow

I am wondering if this bottle was slightly flawed - it seemed very developed for a 2014 vintage. Very dark in colour and petrol on the nose. The taste was more fresh with good acidity. I only have one more bottle and now pondering weather to open it soon or let it rest

A wonderfully classic and plummy Sangiovese with beginning signs of age like balsamic I, prune and leather. If judged on the nose alone it would a clear 91 points for me. The taste good but lacking a little depth and substance compared to the great nose. So 89 it is

2016 Domaine Coquard Loison-Fleurot Bourgogne Rouge - we had this while cooking dinner. We love this domaine but this bottle was actually our first try of the generic Bourgogne Rouge. Unfortunately it was a little disappointing - there seemed to be some good underlying material but it was like there was a lid over the fruit and flavors and it was a bit harsh. It simply never came out to play. Decanting did not help. I still have confidence in this but time is needed before we try it again✌

About the same as last bottle. Its very extreme. Good nose but the taste is shockingly salty. Which detracts for me. This wine is simply beyond.

This was our last bottle - right away I knew it wouldn’t be up to par - the color was a dark golden wit out any sparkles. It was not premoxed but just tired beyond it’s years and filled with waxy almonds and dead leaves more than butter and flowers. Oh well I’m not mad. I had six other great experiences

A "Toy Wine" This is exactly the kind of oak treatment that give wine a bad reputation. Many people with no experience will probably love this due to its cloying sweetness and vanilla on nuclear-level. There is fruit underneath but the wine feels like drinking two uncombiend liquids at the same time.

Ridicoulously tight and unsexy - where is the fruit??? Impossible to rate. Will I buy it again and wait for good things to happen? No.

A great take on Roussanne. Very impressive the way its both rich and fresh with green notes at the same time. It's not for everybody though - a demanding wine
