Lovely mature or close to fully wine. Plums, cassis, spices - feel the 2003 heat made an extra powerful version that is properly burnings its candle in both ends. But it’s lovey now and probably won’t get any better with further ageing

Decent little Sauternes with a big château - this is fully mature but will keep. But I suggest drinking it now as 1999 won’t deliver much more pleasure

Thankfully a better bottle this time - still a hint of volatility but nice drinking.

This was a fresh example but where has the fruit gone?? These bottles are really hit and miss and these days mostly miss. 4 bottles left *sigh*

A far cry from the old juicy ones - quite acidic and almost hard

Best bottle so far - I admit this needed time and I was probably too impatient thinking all Vosne could be drink young - it’s does have a good deep profile now - respect 🙌🏻

It’s braking up - this wine seems to continue it’s downward spiral. The plums keep turning into prunes and dried fruits. The palate is the worst though. Drying dark berries and dusty chocolate- even a little harsh. Think this wine was just too extracted and couldn’t handle it. the alcohol is seriously showing up - drink up. This was my 5th bottle out of 6.

Lovely and easy drinking wine and very complex at the same time. I was told this was open for business and it was.

This is definitely a great wine in the making - it just needs more time to shed the oak but I’m positive it will turn out great. Not too heavy

This was interesting and fun - the wine was more like a blend of Marsala and tawny port than Sauternes- lots of nuts and prunes - still the taste was fresh. I love Sauternes :-)

Actually the nose is quite nice on this wine(my first taste) red dusty berries and mild natural funk. But the taste leaves you wanting more fruit instead slightly watery and definitely missing a longer aftertaste. I wonder if this is intended?

A lovely small and fresh Bordeaux from a top vintage - we had it while cooking dinner. It’s elegant and with a healthy dose of tannin. Give it 5 years if you have some.

When last tasted I thought this was awesome - and it was also really good this time - but less profound. There was a note of plum bordering on prune in the background that grew during the evening. I am starting to think this wine was somewhat overdone in this great vintage. Lesser vintages with more age has actually pleased me more. Have a few left and will probably check in on them not too far from now

A beautiful wine in the making - this was our New Years Eve dinner wine. Lots of dark yellow dried fruits - good body but not that heavy. Also a little more austere than I had expected. I’m guessing this will resolve with more age. I will try to get some more if the price is right

Had this on New Year’s Eve last night with Oysters Rockefeller- went very well with that but if feels like the 2018 vintage is speaking more and more here? More dark than previous bottles and also less fruity and charming. Not sure they(the 2018 of this) wil age as well as I thought initially

It became really good with some decanting. But it’s drink more like a Chablis than a cote de Beaune. Lovely wine with a good future

Slightly better than last bottle with good abricots - but there are some raisins sneaking in in a way I don’t appreciate and too early for a Sauternes only 17 years old. I have one left - these will not be interesting to age much further

A solid 93 this time. Was my second bottle and it’s has just improved. Dark, juicy and almost sexy fruit. I’d did however make me wonder if this wine will evolve quite fast? Not that it really matters as it’s a joy to drink right now. Have more and will be picking them of with perhaps one or two per year

My last bottle of this in 2008 - it’s a nice wine but now it drinks more like a village than a Premier Cru - and in that sense it’s a little underwhelming

This was slightly off in a strange way - almost no fruit in the nose and a oxidative note - but palate seemed to be quite normal - didn’t feel like TCA - strange

Revisiting this after about 25 months - this has definitely improved - as to say the oak has backed down a lot!! And there’s actually a good wine underneath. I still say it need a perhaps two more years to fully integrate the oak but now it’s drinkable. It’s very soft and not really that heavy. Indeed very soft for Mourvèdre- but the aftertaste is somewhat watery and short - and for this the price of €67 is simply ridiculous

92 is the right score here - Inlove La Tour Blanche but it’s never going to be crazy good. Very developed here in 2005 as expected. But still very good. Would have been a 93 if it wasn’t for the nail polish remover hint in the background on the nose

A really lovely Dom Pérignon - I had it once before when it was released and then it was very tight. Now it has begun the second phase of live with toast and meringue. This will keep for a long time
