The wine was good but was showing some signs of oxidation despite perfect storage. It's time to drink the rest.

Perhaps it was bottle variation but there wasn't much fruit left and it was a touch acidic... acidic in a not so good way. The wine was stored at 55 degrees from the time of purchase upon release and drank cool. There were earth undertones still but it wasn't what relentless usually is. I'm finding these same characteristics in many 2008 Napa wines at this time. This is past its prime.

I was very surprised that this wine held up great from a vintage not well known for aging. Fruit was still bright, tannins were still present and the wine was well balanced.

Had it with short rib. It was very tanic still and a bit out of ballance. It needs much more time.

The wine is past its time. It had no fruit left and little flavor.

Badly corked. The wine was properly stored and the cork was perfect. Very disappointing.

The wine was excellent but surprised me very much. This was the lightest and most approachable young Kosta Browne I've every had. It was still full bodied, well balanced with good acid that paired well with grilled salmon.

The wine was very tight. I brought it to a party and in all fairness it didn't have enough time to open before it was gone. It could use more time in the bottle.

Very nice wine. Strong berry fruit still with good earthiness.
I drank this next to a 2002 Hartwell Estate 1999 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 and the Hartwell was the best. The Chimney Rock was better than the Cask 23.

The wine was good but it was definitely past its prime. Fruit was faded but the wine was still balanced. The wine was bought from the winery upon release and properly stored. I drank this next to a 2001 Chimney Rock Reserve and a 2002 Hartwell Estate and the Hartwell was the best.

The wine was drinking well. Fruit was still present, the wine was well balanced and still had the earth tones Stag's Leap District wines typically show. I drank this next to a 2001 Chimney Rock Reserve and a 1999 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 and the Hartwell was the best.

Boring, flat, and very acidic. The wine was not corked or oxidized either.

Smooth silky texture with well balanced fruit that has a moderately long lingering finish. The wine also has a nice amount of acidity which make it work very well with food. Although the wine is young, it is stilll approachable but would be better served by at least another year in the bottle. I suspect this wine will be at its peak in about 3 years.

Needs an hour to open up then it comes alive. Deep flavors of dark fruit with a lingering finish and hints of vanilla make this a great wine to enjoy now or cellar for 3-5 more years.

Nice fruit but the tannins were gone. Drink now. It Drank very well with heavy black pepper on steak au poire.

Wonderful wine, deep dark fruit, intense, and a bit chalky. Needs at least another year, probably 3 or 4. Felt lik I was doing a (very good) barrel tasting.

Wonderful wine, well balanced and drinking well. It will last longer but I doubt it will get any better.

This one just didn't show up. Kind of flat and boring. Not much fruit left. I had one 2 years ago from the same shipment and that one was amazing.

The bottle wasn't flawed but there was definitely some bottle variation here. I typically love Cliff Lede wines but this one was boring and unintersting. There was no rich structure and lingering finish like most Cliff Lede wines.

Used it to make an amazing lamb burgundy and paired it with an 04 arcus

Definitely over the hill in spite of proper celleraing. Should have drank this 2 years ago.

As a long time Archery Summit drinker, and a big Arcus fan, this was a massive dissappointment. The wine was not corked or spoiled but it was acidic and very bitter. Completely undrinkable. Perhaps I just got wine out of a bad barrell, but this one should never have been released. Wine Spectator was very generous with their 83 rating.
