Second time with this wine, first time was blind and I scored it 96 today it was tasted not blind and decanted 1 hour instead of 4 or so last time. It did not rocked at all. Towards the medium to light body and somewhat flat. I did enjoyed it hence the 92 points but frankly I was a little dissapointed. It is not the hedonistic beast some of us wish for, it is delicious but restrained. Felt like the 6 cylinder Mustang instead of the V8. I have many more at the cellar and while I do not think they are meant for many years of cellaring, I hope that in 3 or so years they would be better. This bottle will never achieve medals, but it is a very well made wine. Maybe I was expecting more from VHR, like a baby VHR and it is not.

Tasted blind with other wines from the mid 2000s. After tasting this wine many times this was my last bottle and definitely the worst experience. This hedonistic bombastic wines are ment to be consumed early, this are not Bordeaux and with a few years are definitely ready. The wine extremely boring and with lots of that burnt rubber tire smell that I dislike. This wine with 5 years of cellar time had enough, but almost 20 years is just way too much

Pnp . Masive purple hedonistic powerful wine. Excellent match for a ribeye with lots of fat . Incredible for dark chocolate pairing. Bordeaux drinkers look elsewhere, this is not your style. This is a Corvette, not Bentley. LOVE this wine

Supermarket everyday burger wine. Nothing that stands out but it is OK. Has no flaws but it is FAR from being a great wine. For the price its ok.

An extremely easy to drink red. Dont expect complexities here, it is even lighter than a pinot. No alcohol whatsoever (12%) and VERY VERY light bodied. This is a summer wine. Good wine, not great. Woman might be fond of this style better than men.

Great for $100 , never in my mind for $300. I would guess this wine was bought by the majority of us at berserkersday that had an offer for $100. I feel that for $100 this wine delivers.

This is a must wine. If we read the descriptors for this wine we would find many because each and everyone of us have different ways to describe a wine. I will only say that this wine is what I want to drink forever specially at this price. It is extremely elegant and polished with a sublime sexyness hard to imagine. This wine is pure silk, an imaginary breed of Napa meets Bdx or viceversa. It is one of those wines made for us that love Napa and love Bordeaux. In all honesty I believe there is no better QPR out there. I cannot think of another wine that delivers so much in this price. Bought a case after the tasting. Right now delicious with a 4 hrs decant, but will be in its prime around 2030

Sexy, elegant, beautiful delicious wine. Had it with filet and paired extremely well. I think the wine is at peak and improved since last bottle 3 years ago. Will remain at this level for a few years I think.

Nice big bold syrupy pinot from Sonoma. Lacked finesse and elegance. It is an OK wine, nothing bad at all, but far from being outstanding.

Dark. Dry. Plums and earth in the back. Decanted 2 hours but this thing begs for more time in the bottle. I was not extremely impressed but I think its because the wine is not in its prime window. Have zero experience with Troplong but I suspect this is a wine for 2028-2035

Decanted 3 hours, needs 5 or 6...or let them sleep for 3+ years. Amazing power with beautiful tannins. Purple monster that kills all the masively produced Napa wines. This wine was WOTN for the group although not mine. I placed it below the Baker and Hamilton and the Leoville Poyferre 18. Tasted blind.

Loved the wine and between WOTN and runner up this evening in company of a few Napa and Bdx gems. Decanted 2 hours but this thing needs much more or a couple of years in the cellar. This is not power, this is silk and finesse. Perfect for a ribeye. Not at all hedonistic, not your typical Napa and before opening the bags revealing the wine I thought it was a Leoville Poyferre. Beautiful wine, enjoyed it a lot

This is sooo good right now but will get MUCH MUCH better in the future with some more time in the bottle. Decanted 6 hours but this baby needs 5 years or more to begin its adulthood. I would like to think based on the structure and masive tanins that this wine will be a candidate for almost perfect scores 10-15 years from today. Have 12 more bottles and will wait a few years to open the next one. NOT READY although extremely delicious

Very big dissapointment. I thought I was in for a hedonistic experience, but the wine was kind of boring, flat, and frankly quite inexpresive. Was it bad ? No, it was just 3-5 points below of what I was expecting. I was expecting a Napaesque style of Bdx but found nothing like that. The wine was decanted 3 hours but maybe it needs much more because I never experienced that fully open stage. I have 2 cases left, I am hopeful it will deliver a better experience in the future. BTW, of the 6 tasters 5 had it last in the lineup and 1 had it as WOTN.

Masive wine, tons of fruit and weight. It was decanted for 2 hours but I think this wine needs much more or a few more years of cellaring. This is the PERFECT wine for a great Bbq or a really fat ribeye. This is not a cheese and crackers wine, it will overpower everything thrown at it. I think the wine will improve and in 2 or 3 years will be much more aproachable and that by that time this wine could be a 95 pointer...or more. Right now it is just too much.

I want to drink Maybach Materium forever. This a big but smooth and elegant wine. Obviously over the top Napa wine that would do great with every single new world lover out there. There is no way not to like this wine. Next bottle in a couple of years to let it integrate a little better. This is the real deal.

Big, bold, hedonistic and on the very very end a little bit green that stoped this wine to be a 97 pts. Tasted along an incredible out of this world Maybach Materium 2019 that frankly its a better wine. This is like comparing Ferrari to Lambo really.....

One of the best $100 Napa cabs out there. This is a fruity and hedonistic party wine. Delicate friends should stay away from this style. I have no idea how it is going to develop in the future, but this kind and style of wine are not meant to be kept for 15 or 20 years

This is 100% liquid beef jerky. I have no idea how this is going to evolve , but today, after 2 hours of decant time, this wine is 100% like drinking peppered beef jerky. 5 years left of life , but I am not sure how it is going to evolve. A very weird wine.

Beautiful and elegant wine. Even though I decanted the wine for 2 hours, in reality the wine got better and better as the time went by. If you have a few bottles let them sleep for a few more years and you will be rewarded. My score is as it is right now, but it will certainly hover in the 93-95 points in the next 5-8 years.

I respectfully disagree with the other reviews. The wine is full, juicy, and delicious. This is a wine to drink with food and I could very well see it as a perfect pair to bbq and burgers. I liked it so much that after tasting it went specifically to Costco to buy a few bottles.

Very dry and tanic. Although I enjoyed it a lot, I continue to think that the wine is somewhat overvalued. This wine should be in the bracket of $120 to $150 range IMHO. Will not live many more years, open it now or in the next couple of years. Iron rust, red fruit, tanic, dry.

My last bottle was 3 years ago and I said to wait 5 years. I scored back then 96 points. Today I opened one more bottle to see the evolution and I had the perfect excuse to do so as it was my sisters 50 th bday. The wine did not dissapoint although it was not a homerun. I think as others have said before that the wine will not last many more years. Are we in a hurry to drink this wine? No, but I wouldnt bet on a very long life ahead. I really think the best days were a few years ago and very slowly is fading away. My problem is price, for $400 or so I find it expensive for what it delivers. I would be very happy to buy cases of this wine for $150 or so. I enjoyed it a lot yes, but it is not that super incredible wine that I thought it would be at this moment. I will open the rest in the next 2-3 years.

This is not a good wine by any measure. Dont make the mistake that you will find good qpr here even at $7 . I can name a lot of much better options at the $7-$10 range. It is not horrible as I have tasted much worse wines, but it is a mediocre to bad wine. Metallic with a very short and weird finish. I have no clue why the 87-90 points some gave to this wine. Expect the quality of many box wines, those who are sold for $12 for 3 liters

Loved the wine. Lacks a little bit more acidity to be great, but it is a very delicious and enjoyable wine. If you take it to any restaurant or bbq everyone will love it. Kills most Napas below $50. Will definitely buy more. I am writing and drinking and oh boy, it is VERY good. No, it does not compare to expensive Napa cabs, but this wine for casual drinking and not act like a snob is GREAT. QPR is fantastic. Not a wine for long ageing
